Whats a shampoo/conditioner i can buy to make my hair grow faster?
thanks :)Whats a shampoo/conditioner i can buy to make my hair grow faster?
Nothing you do to your hair externally will help it grow. Hair growth comes from a healthy lifestyle. Most hair will grow from 1/4 to 1/2 inch a month. Taking a daily vitamin and eating healthy will help speed it up a little.Whats a shampoo/conditioner i can buy to make my hair grow faster?
Umm ok there are actually vitamins etc that make your hair grow faster , I have no idea why someone would say otherwise .
When I was pregnant with my daughter I cut my hair twice and it grew back so fast , I cut it above my shoulders and both times it was back below my shoulder blades . I was of course on prenatal vitamins ( just regular drugstore brand) but also I was using Garnier Fructis .. I am not sure hows it is spelled . I really liked them and always noticed that my hair was shiny and healthy while using it .
Of course if you take vitamins or eat foods that will help your hair grow it wont just be the hair on your head ! Your leg hair and also your finger/toe nails will sprout .
I am not sure if its true or not but since you might as well try everything you can try taking better care of your hair like not over washing , do not brush wet hair , try to reduced the use of heat styling , get routine trims and keep your hair in a braid at night ...those things are all said to help keep your hair healthy and prevent excessive breakage .
I would so a search for foods that can help you too ....
The Original Main 'n Tail shampoos and conditioners are known for their use on horses (and since its popularity....humans too) to keep their hair healthy, provide protection against the elements, and thus having a positive effect on the growing of hair faster. They are inexpensive and can be found even at your local walmart. There are found with the regular shampoos and conditioners. Ive tried them and they seem to work well.
Well, there really isn't a shampoo, but you can try Pantene beautiful legnths or herbal essence long term relationship. Plenty of sleep, exercise, fresh air, a good diet and take fish oil capsules and vitamins e and b will encourage your hair to grow more quickly. Also, while in the shower, take the time to thoroughly massage the shampoo, rubbing at the roots, it helps keep hair healthy and encourages to grow faster.

Hair is dead matter just like your nails. They both grow outward from within/the root. All you can do for hair is wash and condition it. You have to replace your bodies natural oils on it that you have washed away with artificial oils in conditioners or hot oil treatments. To make hair and nails grow is eating right and taking daily vitamins.
These ppl are not helpful hah
but it's true none really do make your hair grow faster
but what you can do too help it is massage in the sculp when you do wash your hair
and if you have split ends i andvise you cut them off cuz then your hair wont grow
:)))
Drink lots of water, eat lots of veggies and protiens. But don't expect seeable results. Ask your hair person (can't remember the name, lol) and get it trimmed a little every 6-8 weeks so it looks nice.
There is no such shampoo, conditioner, Vitamin, or product that will make your hair grow faster.
That includes Biotin, Prenatal Vitamins, and Mane and tail.
Prenatal Vitamins, %26amp; Mane %26amp; Tails Shampoo.
I'm in the same situation I've been doing this for like 2 weeks %26amp; my hair is growing like crazy! GOOD LUCK :)
well i definately would get moisturizing shamp %26amp; condit cuz healthy hair grows faster naturally. Also there are certain foods that promote hair growth... so u may want to check that out :)
Shampoos and conditioners don't make hair grow faster

Can flea shampoo for dogs be used for cats?
The cat is 4 months old.Can flea shampoo for dogs be used for cats?
Wow check out this shampoo. It's COMPLETELY safe for cats, dogs, kittens, puppies because it contains only all natural ingredients:
Coconut Oil, Cedar wood, Tea Tree oil, Eucalyptus, and Aloe
if you really wanted to you could literally wash your own hair with it-- but regardless it leaves your pet's coat soft and shiny and also prevents fleas and shedding.
Here's the link if you want to check it out:
http://www.rosiesremedies.com/Pet_Scent_Herbal_Shampoo_p/herbshamp.htmCan flea shampoo for dogs be used for cats?
Absolutely not, and it is alarming that multiple people are saying it can, because people could lose their cats as a result of listening to those answers! Cats really do die from having flea chemicals for dogs put on them!
They are usually compatible.
Read the label to make sure they are good for 4 months old kitten.
Try the brand ADAMS, it is safe for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens - available at Petsmart.
http://www.adamsfleacontrol.com/
EDIT - for those whom are saying no, please go read the label of the bottle. I worked 12 years at a vet clinic and we bathe the dogs and cats in the same shampoo from the same bottle! The key here is READ THE LABEL. If one is not sure about an answer, just don't answer the question or say maybe, don't put others down!
i think so .... their fur is not that different... and its just for external used by the way...
no its for dogs not for cats. you can kill a cat by using something for dogs on it.
No.
No.
No.
And...no.
Many dog flea shampoo's contain a chemical called Pyrethrin or Permethrin.
Exceedingly toxic for cats!! And most if not ALL products for dogs will show a warning to not use that product on a cat.
Ever.
Even if you think it might be okay, call your vet and ask their opinion.
Edit...what's with all the thumbs down for proper info???
Wow how poor are you.
I wouldn't recommend it since the skin is different for each animal.
no way
thats not a cat that's a kittten
Flea shampoos are one method of temporarily ridding cats of fleas. Although these shampoos aren't the safest method of flea control, they can help for very bad infestations on a cat.
Many shampoos, especially those you may find at your local supermarket, contain chemicals that can be toxic, however.
To protect your cat's health, use only vet-approved flea shampoos and N E V E R use flea shampoos formulated for D O G S on your cat.
Why would you? Honestly? There's no point, you wouldn't be asking this question if you just got a couple bucks and bought a shampoo designed for cats. hopefully this is just a curiousity question. but fyi, flea shampoo is AMAZING for getting rid of head lice, my friend used it on her girls and it killed them!
no! and use dawn dish soap will kill the fleas not the cat
No, cat flea's and dog flea's are different for one and secondly its not safe for the animal.
i think so its designed to kill fleas and maybe not the host using it

What do you think about head n shoulders shampoo?
i just bought the smooth n silky..my problem is dandruff and itch also i want my hair to be more smoother so i got the smooth n silky one havent tried it yet but just was wondering is head n shoulders ok to use daily? and does it really help with dandruff etc? What do you think about head n shoulders shampoo?
My 7 year old daughter had dandruff!!! Not just dry flaky scalp, she had proper dandruff. Head and Shoulders cleared it up within DAYS!!! I washed her hair three or four times in a row with H%26amp;S and now we use it once a week to keep it in check. Very happy. Good Luck!!!What do you think about head n shoulders shampoo?
like any other shampoo it can b used daily
it's good i never used it i bff does she had dandruff almost any shampoo you can use and uhh it's not good to wash your hair every day either
its alright to use daily... but its better not to shampoo everyday... to shampoo every OTHER day... so that your scalp doesnt get dry.
and its ok... but there are better dandruff shampoos out there.
just test all the ones until you find the right one!
yes, it does remove dandruff. actually it really depends upon your hair type. i am actually a head%26amp;shoulders user for 7 years already and two of the products flavors/scents really is compatible with my hair type. i use the refreshing menthol and the silky black and it didnt actually dry-up my hair and it removed my dandruff problems. but when i used the other flavors/scents my dandruff wasnt removed. so find the one that is compatible with your hair type, okay? :)
i heard dandruff shampoos have some chemicals i cant name it cus i forgot it, anyways it causes cancer so whatever cus so does every other thing they do research on almost everything causes cancer go live in a jungle without any cars dandruff dust bunnies polutionwhite makeup

What is the best hair cleansing method besides shampoo?
some one told me once to stand in the shower and pore mouth wash in my hair and let it sit for a little bit then wash it out. it strips and all to oil and dirt out. mayo. is a good conditioner to. i'm in cosmetology and thats some of the things we learned you and use if you don't have products at home. What is the best hair cleansing method besides shampoo?
If you wake up one morning and your hair is looking a little oily take some baby powder sprinkle some on your head then blow dry the top so it doesnt look white... and walla you have clean looking hair! Report Abuse

If you don't use any products that cause buildup (pomade, hairspray, gel, etc), you can get your hair really clean by use using a cheap conditioner, like Suave or V05. Get the ';clarifying'; or ';extra body'; type. Use a lot of it, and really massage it in. Let it sit for a while and then rinse it out. It sounds bizarre, but it actually does get your hair clean!
wash your hairs with curd rinse it off and then use lemon for dandruff
Obviously shampoo is the best, but if for any reason you are unable to get your hair wet there is a powder you can buy that you sprinkle on your head and brush it out. I'm not sure what it is called, but if you ask the pharmacy about it they should know what you are talking about (it is available over the counter.)
First off, shampoo isn't cleansing. Take a look at your shampoo, look at alll those ingredients.
The makers of shampoo put dyes into it, to make it look nice, or put fragrance into it to make it smell nice.
Would you want something like Red 40 in your hair?
Did you know that the makers of shampoo, the 2nd or 3rd most shampoo is in there to just make the shampoo soapy and lather up in the shower?
Anyway, try rinsing with beer, or vinigar. Cleans out your scalp and gets rid of all that buildup in your hair.

John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioner for blonde hair?
I bought some John Frieda shampoo and conditioner that i am yet to use.
I have blonde highlights that are fairly light and i bought the Sheer blonde Highlight activating mouisturizing shampoo for platinum to champagne but the conditioner for honey to caramel.
Is using this conditioner going to damage my colour?
Thanks.John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioner for blonde hair?
no, the shampoo and conditioner have very little effect on your color as long as they are within the same tone... like dont buy shampoo for black or red hair... the best thing you can do for your color is to wash it in cold water... always if possible i know its freezing to take cold showers but your color will last so much longer and use laminating or oil treatments once a week to help lock in color. using dandruff shampoo will definetly strip your hair color as well so stay away from that.John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioner for blonde hair?
try it and see.all the best
Aren't those shampoos designed especially for dyed hair?
Not at all, but you could take the honey-caramel shade back and exchange it for the other. And for what it's worth, I used all the Sheer Blonde line for a few months, and there was no change (neither good nor bad) to my color.
try the aveda shampoos and conditioners. I did and my hair has never been so beautiful.
I dont see why it should damage it..as long as you use some type of damage treatment for when you apply heat to your hair.

Herbal essences shampoo! Is it good for hair?
I have heard that herbal essences is not good for hair? What is your opinion about this?Herbal essences shampoo! Is it good for hair?
I LOVE herbal essence. I have bad hair (frizzy and course) and the kind for chemically treated hair works good for me. The conditioner is real thick and smells yum.Herbal essences shampoo! Is it good for hair?
If you want to find a shampoo that is for your hair type, you need to have a professional recommendation. this is only gotten from your trusted stylist. This shampoo uses artificial fragrances which anything artificial isn't necessarily good for hair.
they r really good
yes its alright
I tryed herbal essences and it does not work well. It makes my hair to dry and brittle.
i don't think it's good for Ur hair b/c that's what a stylist told me.
i've tryed it and it didn't work well at all.....it made my hair noughted and oily. as for being BAD for your hair idk!
Not only is it true but if you suffer from hay fever of an other plant allergy your skin can have a reaction.
Since my hair is dry, it just doesn't condition it enough. It smells pretty and works fine for normal hair (like my fiance's), but my dry hair needs way more than it offers.

What good shampoo-conditioner for short, VERY slightly greasy (but mostly normal) hair?
Mum bought stuff for dry hair :S so whats good for my kind of hair? What good shampoo-conditioner for short, VERY slightly greasy (but mostly normal) hair?
The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Kroger, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!

girl WEllapon conditioner is the best.u can check out the varieties available in it and buy da one dat is according to ur hair.n shampoo CLEAR is da best for all kind of problems or even no problems its da best i have ever used.
here is a tip for hair if u r sufferin from any hair problem, have bad edges or dye prob...mix coconut oil n henna n paste it on hair for 20 mins ...do it once in a month n ur hair will be ';oh so lovely!!
l'oreal in pink bottle is good
Paul Mitchell Shampoo One is the best shampoo I have found because it doesn't contain any oil. You can also use it every day, and you don't need a lot to get a good lather. Smells good too.
Pantene conditioners are quite cheap and you still get an okay result, although you can't beat salon products really.
Try something from the KLORANE range. They have shampoo and care products for all types and colours of hair. I would recommend the citrus one.
If your hair is short and a little greasy, you don't need a conditioner. Only long/thick/curly hair needs conditioning. This is a marketing myth perpetuated by the beauty industry who want you to buy their product. Rinse in rain water if you have it. Makes the hair soft and shiny. Any shampoo for oily/normal hair will work for you. Good luck!
carbolic usually does the trick love
John Freida products. Check out his line at your local dept. or drug store.
Great solutions in this site.
Anything with lemongrass in it. Lemongrass reduced the 'grease' without making your hair too dry.
i love loreal elvive anti breakage shampoo and conditioner (in a yellow bottle) it smells lovely and conditions hair preventing it from breakage!x
Dunno babe, but i use fructis, nice to smell them fruits while showering
tresemme is excellent for all types of hair
Miss Cazzi, I find vo5 shampoo to be reasonably priced and good,If your hair is slightly greasy, try soaping up two times. As far as conditioners go I like to recommend the same brand as the shampoo, but leave in conditioners sometimes leave the hair a little greasy,so try a rinse out conditioner.

Is baby shampoo a good facial wash?
I'm looking for something more gentle than body wash and I've heard people say that baby shampoo is good for removing makeup. Would that make it a good facial wash?
If it isn't, then do you have any recommendations for facial wash for sensitive and dry skin?Is baby shampoo a good facial wash?
Baby wash is good for your body, but not so good for your face...it will be too drying...Try Cetaphil...it is extremely gentle and great for extremely sensitive skin.
http://www.cetaphil.com/Is baby shampoo a good facial wash?
never heard of that.
i have great skin and i use neutrogena's fresh foaming facial cleanser in the light blue bottle!
great for removing makeup too!
it's good for your body but not your face...trust me :)

Is this shampoo good for color treated hair?
Is the shampoo Redken All Soft good for color treated hair?Is this shampoo good for color treated hair?
Yes! I use the deep conditioner once a week to soften my hair. I love it. The Redken for colored hair is really good! To keep it from fading is to not wash it as often. I was my hair twice a week and my
hair isn't fading (it isn't nasty looking either, if the other people are wondering). Is this shampoo good for color treated hair?
My hair doesn't get greasy. And it doesn't get knotted either. I have mid back length hair and I have no problems with washing it twice a week. Washing it more makes your hair more oily. Report Abuse
ONCE YOU COLOR YOUR HAIR THERE IS NO SHAMPOO ON THE MARKET TO PROTECT THE COLOR.
I DON'T CARE WHAT THE ADVERTISEMENTS SAY OR HOW MUCH THE SHAMPOO COSTS.....THE COLOR WILL FADE WITH EACH SHAMPOO. SORRY........

pantene prov for color treated hair is grat, but then again it all depends on the texture of your hair. some shampoos work diffently and may not have the same affect on some peoples hair.

Pantene Pro-V for Color-Treaded Hair is the best, in my opinion.
Yeah. It's alright...Although, i admit it isn't the best. The hair still fades.

Which Tresemme shampoo and conditioner is best for damaged, dry hair?
So i'm considering switching to tresemme and i have dry, damaged hair, so i was wondering which shampoo and conditioner would be best for my hair type. Also, are tresemme really of salon quality?
Thank You! :)Which Tresemme shampoo and conditioner is best for damaged, dry hair?
Cosmetologist/Instructor of 25 years here!!
Do not switch to another drug store brand...they are all crap!! They are full of waxes that coat the hair, full of fillers, and they use the harshest detergents possible...because they are unbuffered and CHEAP!!
Get to a salon or a place like Ulta or Trade Secret and get a professional recommendation.
Dryness is caused from dehydrated hair...or lack of moisture. It leads to dullness and eventually breakage.
You should also make sure if you are coloring your hair, you are letting your stylist do it because the professional brand of colors are much milder than the really alkaline drying ones one the commercial market.
Heating appliances will also contribute to extreme dryness especially if you are using supermarket brand hair care...which has not moisture. You must use a thermal protectant if you use these. Make sure it is a professional brand as it will be better quality, will seal the hair shaft keeping the moisture in the hair...and buffer the heat. The cheap ones use very bad alcohols which dry and fillers as well...not good.
You hair, in order to be healthy, has to be ph balanced, rehydrated with moisture, and get that cuticle closed...which leaves you with shiny healthy looking hair.
You probably need to start with a trim with good products for maintaience. Maybe have a good under the dryer treatment done to fast track replenishment of moisture.Which Tresemme shampoo and conditioner is best for damaged, dry hair?
i suggest vitamin c deep cleansing or anti-breakage yes tresemme is the best hair products i have ever used

How should shampoo be used?
I have 2 different types of shampoo. One is the head and shoulders shine increasing one, and the other is the nexxus hair thickening shampoo. i heard that nexxus should not be used every day. is it safe to use head and shoulders everyday? if not then how should i shampoo my hair or what type of shampoo is safe to use everyday? How should shampoo be used?
just use all different types of shampoos thats wot i doHow should shampoo be used?
I know Redken is a great shampoo that was #1 on the shampoo list in the newspaper and is used by most hair dressers. It is safe to use everyday, most shampoos are. Don't use the Nexxus one everyday if you've heard it isn't safe, use it two or three times a week instead. Head and Shoulders is definitely safe, my brother uses it all the time. Overall, most shampoos are safe to use everyday. Just wet your hair and scrub the shampoo into a big soapy lather. Rinse and add conditioner if you like, but don't over do it. Shampoo should only be a palm sized amount, and conditioner should be a penny sized amount. About once a month skip a day of washing your hair to give your scalp a rest and to leave some natural oils in.
i'd use head and shoulders i really dont like nexxus one bit it's seems liek it's really cheap i dont like it stick with head and shoulders
In general, I would not shampoo your hair every day. I would only suggest washing your hair every day if you have a very oily scalp. Consistent washing generally causes hair to dry out. I wash my hair every other day, and I normally use Aussie. Garnier Fructis, or Pantene ProV. They all work great.
lather. rinse. repeat.

What do is your opinion for the best shampoo and conditioner? ?
No. 1 Let talk affordable. I am white but for some reason I have ethnic hair. It is long, thick, coarse and curly.. Also it does not grow fast. I want something to make my hair soft, shiney. And what makes your hair grow? What do is your opinion for the best shampoo and conditioner? ?
I don't think you can make your hair grow any faster than it naturally does. But you can make your hair the best possible condition and it will look great while you grow it out.
My daughter, also white (caucasian for all this PC people out there), has naturally ';frizzy'; hair because she has some natural curl to it. She's let it grow past her shoulders. The weight of the hair weighs down the curls it seems so her hair tends to be less kinky and frizzy when its humid outside.
There's a shampoo and conditioner pair she buys called ';brilliant brunette'; that she loves. She says it makes her hair shiney (it does), soft (it does) and smoother than other shampoos she's tried. Its made by John Frieda and it's in the section of shampoos for color treated hair (her's isn't). This is for natural or color treated brunette hair. She uses the ';smoothing'; variety to stop the frizziness she tends to get with other products.
She's been happy with this shampoo and conditioner since she began using it. And it's not pricey at all. What do is your opinion for the best shampoo and conditioner? ?
Ooh that's a tough one. I know what you mean by affordable. Thats what I want to. A great shampoo at a great price. Unfortunatly most of the time, the more you pay the better product you will get.
Pureology
Bumbe and Bumble
Kerastase
those are three fantastic products, but also sort of pricey.
I would say since you have ethnic hair, try mizani. I work at a beauty supply store and I hear from many customers that it works fantastic for ethnic, coarse, hard to manage hair.
As for helping it grow. I have a few suggestions.
1. Do not use heat styling tools if you dont have to. If you do have to, use a protecting spray or serum to keep the damage at bay (Brocatto - Cloud 9 blow dry serum or CHI flat iron spray)
2. I know they make certain vitamins and pills that will stimulate the hair growth. You could probably get these at high health or something. Even some beauty stores have them.
3. Do not brush your hair super fast or hard when it is wet, you might damage the cuticle.
4. Also, try to stay away from bleaching or coloring your hair. It could damage it quite a bit.
if you add a few drops of castor oil your conditioner you'll get soft and shiny hair from the very first use! It's really good. I used to have dry and damaged hair but since i started the castor oil my hair looks and feels so much better! I use satinique conditioner but you can add the castor oil to any conditioner.

Use herbal essences shampoo and conditioner for shiny soft hair but to make it grow faster rub coconut milk into your hair before going to bed at night or at least for a couple of hours.white makeup

Any special shampoo/treatmeant out there to help THICKEN my hair?
I am a 20 year old female and as I began to age, I realized my hair starts to thin dramatically...that's totally embarrasing! Are there any recommenced products out there?? I've tried a few hair thickening products, but I think it's just bogus stuff. Never had worked for me.
So do i have to end up looking like this for the rest of my life?Any special shampoo/treatmeant out there to help THICKEN my hair?
I've used a product called 'Nioxin', it came in a white bottle and really helped thicken up my hair.
I had to buy it from a hairdresser, though. Not like in a supermarket or chemist or anything.Any special shampoo/treatmeant out there to help THICKEN my hair?
I've used that horse mane/tail shampoo %26amp; conditioner and it made my hair healthier %26amp; thicker. You might try that. Have you spoken to a dr about this? You might have a deficiency of some kind that's causing it too?? Dunno but I'd ask a dr.
not to make fun or anything but try rogaine. there is a product for women. it happens to a lot of people, don't ever get emberassed on the way you look. keep your head up.

Does your shampoo go faster than your conditioner?
it seems like by the time im done with a bottle of shampoo... i have nearly half a bottle of conditioner left and i use them both everyday.
i get them at the same time too.
does that happen to you?Does your shampoo go faster than your conditioner?
YES, definetly, i love the fact that i can make my hair shiny and glossy, and so i use loads!!! and then 4get the conditioner oops!! :(Does your shampoo go faster than your conditioner?
i run out of conditioner first. my hair is long and thick so this is why
yes all the time its so annoying even though i always use the conditioner along with the shampoo
You have to make sure that you are putting the same amount in your hand for each one when you are using them. Funny though most people run out of conditioner before shampoo.
ummm yea, because my mom only uses shampoo and not conditioner so im getting a little low lol
no i use more conditioner
It's the opposite for me. Because my hair is so thick and gets tangled easily, I need more conditoner than shampoo to calm it.

My two puppy dogs are having some dry skin issues right now. Is there a shampoo/ conditioner that could help?
They've both been itchin' and scratchin' a lot and the older one has a few raw spots now. If it makes a difference one is a bichon frise/ cocker spaniel mix. The other is an aussie cattle dog/ corgi/ somethingorother mix. Thanks! My two puppy dogs are having some dry skin issues right now. Is there a shampoo/ conditioner that could help?
It is possible they have allergies to food or environmental. You should switch their food to one w/o grain in it %26amp; try adding fish oil capsule to their food daily. Bichons have notorious skin issues %26amp; allergies.
Do not overbathe them. It makes it worse. Brushing helps by distributing their natural coat oils thru the hair. I suggest only using a good pet hypo shampoo w/o soap, detergent, dye or perfumes esp. for the bichon mix. They will break out over the smallest irritation. Do not conditioner - it does not help dry skin. In fact it changes their natural ph, will start drying them out more %26amp; cause pimples %26amp; rashes. My two puppy dogs are having some dry skin issues right now. try also taking them to the vet they may have a allergie to something my dog in the picture with my son had the same problem along with ear infections she almost looked mangy i took her to the vet and she had an allergy to grains she then adv to research different diets and i did. she is now on the barf diet. ask the vet they should be able to pinpoint the problem.
My dog had a problem with dry skin one time and I went to the pharmacy and bought some oatmeal bath, it comes in a box dry. Just follow the instruction, this should help sooth their itching. If it doesn't get any better you may have to take them to the vet and see what is wrong.
perfect shampoo!! just look at this website it says it will keep their hair in, stop them from itching, and moisturize their skin!

You can try Omega 3's capsules tho it didn't help mine for dry skin.
Sometimes if you wash your dogs to much. They say you should only wash them 1 time a mouth. But if they start to smell it is best to get a wash cloth with a lil soap and water and but wash the some parts of your dogs.

Lavender essential oil shampoo is usually pretty good. Also, diet has impact on skin. Try feeding wild salmon oil with food.
Bring them to a pet store and ask them what shampoo they recomend.
If they do not give you a straight answer bring them to the vet {vets usually sell special shampoo's].
Good luck.
Try adding some fish oil to the kibbles
Sometimes skin problems are related to the diets...shift the food brand and see whether it's getting better...
Etiderm shampoo and conditioner works really well. You can ask your vet for a sample. Hope this helps.
ditto on having them checked for allergies and adding fatty acids such as fish oil to their food would be way better than any shampoo.
Use one that has Aloe Vera and Chamomile in it. You can get it at Pet Depot or Petco.

Will blonde shampoo do anything to bring out highlights in brunette hair?
I bought the john freida blonde hair shampoo and conditioner, but now I am second guessing that it will do anything at all to bring out my seemingly non existent highlights. will it?Will blonde shampoo do anything to bring out highlights in brunette hair?
Those shampoos claim to ';bring out'; your hair color, but all they really contain is Pearl Extract, which is a shiny substance in the shampoo that looks somewhat glittery. It does not work like hair dye, it only makes your hair shiny in the light. Will blonde shampoo do anything to bring out highlights in brunette hair?
it will make YOUR OWN natural highlights come out more, but it won't physically turn your hair blonde or give you blonde highlights. try pantene's blonde expressions. its healthier for your hair.
p.s: if you do have highlights, blowdrying your hair helps them show more then letting you hair airdry.

it will make YOUR OWN natural highlights come out more, but it won't physically turn your hair blonde or give you blonde highlights. try pantene's blonde expressions. its healthier for your hair.
p.s: if you do have highlights, blowdrying your hair helps them show more then letting you hair airdry.

What shampoo to use after chemically straiting you hair?
and will not take your straitiner away??please tell me.What shampoo to use after chemically straiting you hair?
You can use almost any shampoo!!!What shampoo to use after chemically straiting you hair?
It's important that you use a shampoo that is a chemical pH normalizer. It will neutralize the chemicals that you put in your hair. This is very important. It should say ';Neutralizing Shampoo'; on the bottle, any brand will do. And follow with a good conditioner.
Any thing but pantenewhite makeup

So just recommend a shampoo and conditioner that will help.ThanksWhat shampoo %26amp; conditioner should i use?
you should try herbal essence shampoo hello hydration it leaves my hair very nice smooth also with nice wonderful smell .
also biolage is a nice shampoo it works wonders to achieve nice healthy hair use it with conditioning balm it rocks it leaves my hair very silky and soft. What shampoo %26amp; conditioner should i use?
I like Pantene Pro-V. But the best shampoo and conditioners are the kind you buy at the salon. Like Purology, AG, Redken...I always notice a huge difference when I splurge for brands like that. Also, a lot of salons have sales on hair products frequently and if you pay attention you can end up with great deals.
well it really depends on what your trying to do...the best thing you can do is get a shampoo and conditioner specifically for your type of hair.
I think the best shampoo out there is Pantene it add volume and keeps your hair nice and shiny and smells great!! And they make a kind for each hair type. ex:Full and Thick,Natural Fusions,Anti Frizz...
that aussie one. you can also go to my profile and check my question cuz i posted one kinda like this.
they ahve some definite answers so go on mine!
you should try treseme!
it works like wonders ! my hair is ALWAYS silky, and easy to comb out!

What shampoo works best for really poofy hair?
and dont say sunsilk anti poof-i tried that and it didnt work.
also i have wavy/curly hair. What shampoo works best for really poofy hair?
catwalk is the best i have ever usedWhat shampoo works best for really poofy hair?
Any shampoo that says it is for frizzy or curly hair. Pantene makes a shampoo that says smooth and sleek that might work. You could use one of those styling lotions that has some oils in it. Redken makes one called Redken glass but they have similar ones in regular stores too.
I have curly/wavy hair. I use a product called Envia shampoo and conditioner and I love it. I purchase it through a wellness company online, but I don't sell it. They have a money back guarantee so if you don't like it you can get your money back. Also, you may want to try a flat iron as well, it works for me!! I don't know if you have oily or dry hair, but I use hair oil on my hair. It seems to work great!!

Is there any way to get rid of dandruff with out using a special shampoo/conditioner?
i have had dandruff for the past 2 weeks and it won't go away! Is there any way to get rid of it just at home or something without going out and buying special shampoo/conditioner???Is there any way to get rid of dandruff with out using a special shampoo/conditioner?
I haven't tried these but could give them a try.
Dandruff Preventative
1 part vinegar
1 part water
Mix, then use by parting hair and applying to scalp with cotton.
Dandruff Treatment I
10 to 15 aspirin tablets
1/2 cup warm water
Dissolve aspirin in water. Gently massage the mixture into the scalp. Leave on 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat in a few days, if needed.
Dandruff Treatment II
1 part any antiseptic mouthwash
2 parts distilled water
Mix mouthwash and water. Apply with a cotton ball, parting hair inch by inch across your scalp, front to back. Dab the saturated cotton along the parts. Leave on for 30 minutes; shampoo normally. Is there any way to get rid of dandruff with out using a special shampoo/conditioner?
my grandpa had dandruff and he used regular listerine mouthwash straight out of the bottle and he swore by it.
just make sure that u wash u'r hair w/ plenty of water and do not use different shampoo.
just make sure that you get all the shampoo out of your hair
When i have dandruff i just washed my hair like normal with regular shampoo and conditioner and it disappeared. It might be because of a product you are using in your hair or your scalp could be damaged.

What happens if I fall asleep with shampoo in my hair ?
Lol..I use head and shoulders..hypothetically what would happen ?What happens if I fall asleep with shampoo in my hair ?
Nothing would happen but a mess on your pillow and the job of having to get up and rinse it out in the morning. It is just shampoo and not a dye so no problem. What happens if I fall asleep with shampoo in my hair ?
yay head and shoulders!
unforunately, while it treats damaged scalp and hair, leaving it on would just damage it even more so.
it would dry and flake. then you'd look like you had a bunch of dandruff and would most likely have to do baking soda(? maybe powder..can't remember) treatments.
you have to wash your hair with it and brush it with a comb while washing it.
so in short, just don't forget to rinse your hair out.
: )
your hair would possibly fall out, wouuld be VERY sticky and stiff that you would probly have to chop it off, and it would be dry.
hypothetically.
it sticks to your pillow, makes a mess, but not much else i suppose. it might irritate your scalp a bit, but just rinse it out...by the way, how the heck do you fall asleep with shampoo in your hair? in the shower? lol
You would probably wake up with dried on , crusty, shampoo.
Then your hair will be sparkling clean.
it will look like dandruff and your hair will be stiff.
you will get crusty.
You would have really clean hair.
You'd wake up with Shampoo in your hair?
And your pillow?
Lol realy clean hair?
You will die but you will be dandruff free.
hmm probably not much, may go a little crusty... but nothing some water cant fix
it would look like if you put gel
people will think your an idiotwhite makeup

What shampoo is best for eczema?
My 13 month old daughter is having a severe eczema break out. I'm just curious what shampoo is the best for her. I already use Dove Unscented for her body, Aquaphor after the bath, and Tide Free for detergent. I'm just looking for something for her scalp. She has been digging at it and I can't seem to find anything to help. Thanks! What shampoo is best for eczema?
Don't use anything strong, go with as mild as possible. You could try Johnson's baby shampoo but it is scented and sometimes that can irritate eczema more. I am thinking that you could try Cetaphil wash - it is a very thick lotion-type cleanser made unscented and for sensitive skin and skin with problems like eczema. It is totally not irritating and dermatologists recommend it all the time. I use it and it is the mildest thing I have ever used, and it will even help moisturize her scalp after you have rinsed it off. If that does not help, I would suggest consulting a dermatologist, as she may also have cradle cap or seborrheic dermatitis, etc., where she may need to have a specific shampoo for treatment. What shampoo is best for eczema?
Egg Yolk. It works, and do use very cool water. You can wash with this too. Just a suggestion, but at 13 months, has she just been weaned? Try a diary free, wheat free diet, eggs, eaten are not good. The gut needs to grow a bit.
Try Nutrogena TGel but don't get in in her eyes as it contains tar and don't wash her hair any more frequently than you have to.

Which Shampoo is right for normal to oily hairs?
My husband is very concerned about shampoo.
because he has oily w dandruff and he is also losing hairs, So can somebody suggest any perfect shampoo for him.Which Shampoo is right for normal to oily hairs?
pertWhich Shampoo is right for normal to oily hairs?
My husband has oily hair that he's losing but no dandruff. He loves Prell and really any shampoo that says for men and also mentions for ';Fine hair'; It really builds body in his thinning hair.
The best stuff I can recommend is Nioxin Cleanser. Firstly, it was invented for people going through chemotherapy, so it helps keep the hair you have and helps grow hair if there are live follicles in the scalp. As far as oilyness goes, sometimes, if you shampoo too many times, your scalps sebacious glands overproduce to make up for the stuff you're washing out. If anything, I would suggest washing every other day to every 2nd day. This helps control some of the oils by clogging the glands. Nioxin also helps with the flakes since it is meant for the scalp not just the hair itself. There is a ';conditioner'; that goes along with it, Scalp Therapy. Both things are awesome. Plus, both can be used all over the body. The cleanser to wash with, the scalp therapy to shave and moisturize with. There are several stages of these products. From early stages of hair loss with or without color, to extreme thinning.
Hope this helps.
dove. it works very effiencently.

Nioxin shampoo or scalp therapy causing dandruff?
I have never had dandruff in my life %26amp; now that I am using Nioxin shampoo or scalp therapy (for 3 months), my whole scalp is dry %26amp; itchy %26amp; flaking. Could this shampoo be causing dandruff?Nioxin shampoo or scalp therapy causing dandruff?
It's not dandruff but a severely flaking scalp reacting to harsh chemical and other toxic ingredients in the shampoo And they can result in hair loss. Using anti-dandruff shampoos is simply going to make it worse - they often have even harsher ingredients. Use only safe, non-toxic products(find with an online search ';non harmful shampoos available in stores'; some are expensive but worth it) Available in health food stores, pharmacies and stores like Walmart. And wash less frequently. Hair specialists tell you that frequent washing denatures hair and scalp and contributes to flaking and hair loss. You can quickly heal condition with this treatment. using safe natural oils.
Massage scalp with olive oil (readily absorbed into scalp) and frequently brush using a natural short bristled brush -the palm held type - 45 or even more strokes (each day is best) - quite vigorously, so you feel it stimulating scalp - will unplug the blocked hair shaft ducts, end flaking and itching and reverse other damage (initially you might see some shedding or breakages but that will quickly stop in a matter of days) If you leave oil on while you sleep it is more beneficial. Will also revitalize %26amp; give hair a healthy sheen.and hair will become stronger, thicker and fast growing. Keeping up a regular brushing routine(not as vigorous) will keep hair and scalp healthy. Try it you will be happy that you did. Also be aware that hair dryers, perms, tints, bleaches, straighteners, tanning booths or sunlamps harm scalp and hair and contribute towards flaking.

yes use a different shampoo
I highly doubt it. I am a cosmetologist and i've never seen nioxin do that to a customer.
It is probably a weather change.
yes..or maybe you have changed the temperature of your water.. Try not using it and see wat happens

i'd say pantene pro-v beautiful lengths but out of your choices garnier fructis length and strength
I am gonna go with the Herbal Essence. I have used this one, an my hair seems so much stronger, shinnier an just healthier in general.
OK, i have already used both and i really like the Garnier Fructis Length and Strength. It really helps to strengthen your hair and i think that it smells really good too.
I use both and I see nothing wrong they work great!
I use Garnier Fructis.Mainly because it's make my hair shinier and smoother and at least 2 cm longer.
The Pros---
-makes your hair healthy, shiny and smoother
-it smells good
-When someone pulls your hair ,it isn't likely to ';brake';
-its easy to use cuz its thin s+c!
Cons----
-nothing really.
if your want your hair healthy just leave the conditioner in for 2 minutes

The Ph of human shampoo is very different than the ph of a cats shampoo. Cats actually have more sensitive skin than we do! Human shampoo will dry out the Cats skin and make it very itchy and no fun for the kitty.
The only exception is baby shampoo which has a very neutral PH (so's not to irritate the eyes)
I usually use Johnson %26amp; Johnson on my guys just because I am very sensitive to many fragrances in shapoos
yes it should be fine just don't wash the head ( let her do that) he should be fine. If you worried and need to wash the head get a no more tears kind.
I would use a tearless baby shampoo if you do. Most cats generally do not do well with baths, so that would be better in case it gets in it's eyes. Good luck!
You can, if its once in awhile - I would only use high quality like Pantane or Nexxus (used Nexxus for my Cornish Rexes all the time).
But its better to look for a good quality cat shampoo (NOT Hartz crap)
I think that you should get either baby tearless shampoo or kitty cat shampoo. Human adult shampoo probably wouldn't be good for the cat and it might hurt her.
NO. make sure you get some stuff from the pet store or the vet.
No! You need to get cat shampoo from a pet shop.

Which shampoo & conditioners really help make hair grow?
I really need a shampoo%26amp;conditioner that will make my hair grow. My hair is not being nice and doesn't want to grow past my boobs. I would appreciate if you guys recommended products that really do work. Please help! I want long silk hair :DWhich shampoo %26amp; conditioners really help make hair grow?
Horse shampoo. I know it sounds weird, but it works fine. Think about it, horses have very coarse hair. SO they use stuff to make it as silky as possible. So it makes our hair EXTREMELY silky, and therefore, healthy. Healthy hair grows fast. So it gives you silky long hair. And it smells really good!Which shampoo %26amp; conditioners really help make hair grow?
Ha me too
but I heard that new Pantene shampoo and conditioner
for long hair works nice.
I hear Mane and Tail is good and try new Pantene pro-v Beautful lengths

What shampoo/conditioner are you currently using?

I use Garnier Fructis Body Boost
it works great and I love it.What shampoo/conditioner are you currently using?
I can't believe how many people use Herbal Essences...it is terrible for your hair! My hair broke so much when I started using that and my hairstylist told me how bad it is for hair. So if you're using that, I suggest you maybe look for something else. I'm only saying that to help you're hair! Right now I'm using Biolage and I love it! I'm crazy about smells and this smells amazing and makes my hair feel so soft!
i use brilliant brunette. it smells so good and it softens your hair. It naturally highlights the hair with warm brown tones. im constantly trying different shampoos and conditioners but i always come back to this one
I use Garnier Fructise. It works really well. Also, Hearbal Essences is great! I use different ones every day, but mostly those 2.
I use this purple shampoo and conditioner that tones blonde hair while it cleans, so you wont have yellow hair. I love it.
Im in7th so someone bought my Suave Kids Watermelon Shampoo :/
and i use Pantene Pro-V Conditioner Exttra Straight
my mom uses Pantene Pro-V shampoo+conditioner
herbal esscenses the green shampoo and the pink condititoner :) x
Pantene clarifying shampoo, Johnson%26amp;Johnson baby hair conditioner.
i switch between trevor sorbie's straightening addict shampoo and conditioner and head and shoulders
I use Herbal Essences the voluminizing shampoo and conditioner. That's about all I like.
Well I use two different ones. I use Bath and Body Works warm vanilla sugar once and then I alternate to Aussie conditioner for volume.
Hope I helped
m33gan :)
Currently... well I was using Herbal Essences Break's Over shampoo/conditioner but then the conditioner ran out sooo I had to use that shampoo w/ Pantene Pro-V Volume conditioner. But yesterday the shampoo ran out too... so I have to go buy something new. I think I'll get Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship.

Is shampoo bad for the hair? Is it true we should find a natural replacement for it? What about conditioner?
Thank you!Is shampoo bad for the hair? Is it true we should find a natural replacement for it? What about conditioner?
Try using sulfate free shampoo, I started using it and I could definitely tell that my hair was softer, shinier and healthier. Even after 3 times! Regular shampoo strips the hair of it's natural oils that make it healthier. Another trick is to only shampoo your hair every other day. That way you don't strip it of it's natural oils. As for conditioner, only shampoo the ends and middle of your hair. Don't do your scalp or it will be too greasy. But use conditioner every day. What I do is put in conditioner in my hair and then shave my legs or wash my body and then I rinse it out. Try these tips and I guarantee GREAT results in at least a week, maybe even a few days!Is shampoo bad for the hair? Is it true we should find a natural replacement for it? What about conditioner?
shampoo is bad for your hair in that it washes away your natural oils that protects it from drying out with heat and chemicals. You shouldn't wash your hair everyday.I read some where that you should wash it maximum of 3 days a week. Washing it everyday causes more oils to be produced, making you want to wash it even more, damaging your hair. By not washing it everyday, your hair is healthier, shinier, and gets in to a habit of not creating as much oil so it doesn't look as greasy the days you don't wash it.
Turn over the shampoo bottle and look at the names of the chemicals which are in it.
Same goes for Conditioner.
Those chemicals aren't good.
If you want to find a natural replacement for it then go ahead (look around for some natural, herbal shampoos which might cost you but they use a lot less synthetic stuff) or wash with Amla.
I don't actually see a need in conditioner and honestly, still don't know what it is actually needed for :S
I tried my sisters once and it didn't really do anything for me apart from make it feel like i haven't washed my hair for over a month!
some shampoo damages hair like i used really fancy stuff that looked kinda chemical and it damaged my hair so bad and i kept useing it and lost some hair but if you stick to the normal stuff and your be fine and i think conditioners just if youve got dyed or highlighted hair.
you can get natural shampoos almost everywhere. I'm not sure if shampoo is bad for you per say. But you can get better ones.
yes shampoo is bad
if you use it ur hair WILL fall out

What shampoo has a really nice fruity-ish smell and works well?
I want a shampoo that smells nice (I guess it doesn't have to be fruity) and works well. Oh yeah, and it can't be tested on animals. Is there a good shampoo you know of?What shampoo has a really nice fruity-ish smell and works well?
Garnier FructisseWhat shampoo has a really nice fruity-ish smell and works well?
I like the ';signature fragrance'; shampoos at Bath %26amp; Body Works. They're 2 for $10 and they work well + they smell great!
anything by herbal escences smells wonderful and fruity, plus they have stuff that helps you style hair (like a pin straight line, body envy, curly, etc.)
OMG! all i have to say is S factor color savvy by tigi it smells so fruity i have the bottles in my bathroom and my whole bathroom smells like it... it smells so fruity everyone loves it!!!if you can afford 24 dollars a bottle its wonderful just try it once!!
Depending on your hair type, it may be a concern of what your shampoo has to do for you. But for the value of a good cleaning and a good product that has a fruity smell. I choose Suave peach shampoo and peach scented conditioner. I like the way it leaves my hair feeling silky and manageable. The other product does not have a real fruity smell but I like the results I get from the product and that is Aussie ( the Kangaroo one).
I would say Herbal Essence...srry spelling sucks. But if that still doesn't work go to the sallon and ask the lady what she thinks.
Depends on what kind of fruit you like..
KMS clarifying smells like oranges
Bed Head makes a shampoo that smells like grapefruit and another smells kind of like grapes..
The best hair product for you shouldn't be smell it should be based on
1. thickness (v fine, fine, med, thick, v thick)
2. damage level (normal, damaged, colored, very damaged and dry)
3. hair type, ie: curly, straight, wavy
After you define your type of hair then people can recommend products that would be suitable for you.
I love Herbal Essences %26amp; Sunsilk. They both work well %26amp; smell great!
HERBAL ESSENCES. i've tried a LOT of shampoos/conditioners and this has always been my favourite. any of the fruit fusion ones.

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! Organix is not tested on animals...its printed right on the back label. You can get Organix at Target, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!!!

herbal essences pink coral flower and white nectarine. it smells really great. it also gives you great volume. mine used to be like that, but i haven't taken a shower in a long time....
ugh i hate when they test on animals too. i don't think so. they seem nice.
Herbal Essences! It smells so good and I am 99% positive it is not tested on animals.
Definately Garnier Fructis... and who gives a flying hoorah if it's tested on animals... I wash my dogs with shampoo jeez... it's not like you're buying lipstick and foundation tested on monkeys haha...
and herbal essences does not smell like fruit it smells like flowers, hint hint herbal.. (to some posters up there)
Garnier Fructis isn't really a distinctive fruit smell, more like fruity... I'm sure if you go to a shampoo store or whatever, they have special fruit shampoos. And read the back lable for the animal hootinanny k?
Garnier Fructis is my personal favorite fruity smelling shampoo it also leaves your hair fresh and silky for weeks.
What about Garnier Fructis....i dont think thats teasted on animals and it smells good!

What is the difference between conditioner and shampoo?
what does conditioner specifically do to your hair? What is the difference between conditioner and shampoo?
it conditions it, crazy concept i know but it does. shampoo just cleans it. your hair would be frizzy without conditionerWhat is the difference between conditioner and shampoo?
Shampoo cleans the hair of oil and dirt and product build up (use a clarifying shampoo for that) and conditioner keeps the hair strands themselves moisturized.
=O. you don't know. oh WOW....
as far as i know shampoo cleans your hair and container put moisture into it and makes it shiny
conditioner makes it more easier for your hair to be easier to brush when wet and shampoo cleans it, conditioner makes hair more easier to deal with, its a must to have it....lol

What shampoo would you recommend for medium length, brownish/blond thin hair? Please read?
So I've been using redkin, but I have really fine hair, and it just seems to make my hair sort of strawish and slightly frizzy.
Also, my hairs been knotting a lot lately.
I'm looking for a shampoo that will be good for my hair, make it look shiny, and help keep it in line.
What types of shampoos would you recommend? What shampoo would you recommend for medium length, brownish/blond thin hair? Please read?
Nexxus is a great brand, but if you're looking for something cheaper, try Herbal Essences. I like Nexxus more, it makes our type of hair (yes - I suffer too!) thickers and fuller.
Here's a cool trick - shampoo your hair upside down in the shower, as though you were blow drying it over. It'll make it a LOT fuller with very little effort. What shampoo would you recommend for medium length, brownish/blond thin hair? Please read?
They have extra-body or volume shampoo's you could try.
Shampoo's are trial and error, so experiment and see which ones work the best for you.
i would try essence because it makes your hair shiny untangled and non nappy and you could find it at any local store.

If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?
please leave religion out.If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?
i would pray to God to clean my head, and if it didn't get clean then he must want me to be dirty. If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?
would it matter, you're still wasting soap
ha ha great doubt!
Shampoo. Though there may not look like there is not any hair, there are hair glands on your head. Regular soap can irritate it, and can cause you discompfort. Go with the shampoo.
Soap, it's just skin.
My boyfriend is bald and he uses regular bar soap.
I'd use the same soap I use on my face and I would cream my scalp...(it will get dry too...)

Which shampoo/conditioner is good for CURLY hair?
I have curly hair, and I've been using Biolage Hydratherapie shampoo/conditioner for about 2 months. It leaves my hair looking like straw (even though it's an expensive brand of shampoo/conditioner).
Can someone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for curly hair? It doesn't have to be a product that's specifically made for curly hair. As long as it's good for curly hair.Which shampoo/conditioner is good for CURLY hair?
Redken All Soft or the All Sleek (I think it's called) version if you want more relaxed curls.
They smell good and make my coarse dry curly hair frizz-free and soft.
They might be too heavy if your hair is thinner or finer, though. Redken does have a shampoo/conditioner specifically for curly hair, Fresh Curls, but I've never tried that.Which shampoo/conditioner is good for CURLY hair?
Biolage conditioner is really good i luv it. but since expensive i dont even buy it. I used my moms.. and she never uses all of her stuff. I liked dove shampoo/condit but the conditioner washes all out and doesnt leave the moicture in, and pantene (brown bottle) is good but i've heard things about it that made me stop buying (i dunno if its worth tellingu or not). And a cheaper version is the suave moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. What im really using right now is Cream of Nature. I like the conditioner. I dont really like shampoos they all dry my hair out.
Yes, I know tons! I have curly hair too! I also am studying to get my hair liscense! Curly hair needs lots of moisture!! there is a good one by Nexus called Y Serum.. Also not sure if you have even heard of Pureology but that whole Line is awsome I recommend the NANO WORK it smells awesome and workd great!! It's pricey!!
i haven't tried it but my cousin has.Dove
I like the L'oreal Vive Pro. It's in a pink bottle. I use the medium/long straight hair kind. They have the same conditioner, also.
I have never been impressed with expensive brands of anything. I have fluffy, wavy hair, and I like using Loreal's brand of shampoo/conditioners duos. They have tons of Mix'n'matches for what you're hair is like and what you want it to be like. Also, for an inexpensive deep conditioner, try Suave Deep Conditioner in a squeeze bottle once a week. It does wonders for curly/wavy hair, and they're all at Walmart or Target.white makeup

i suggest the color care line from biolage. (:
A great one that you can get at any store is L'oreal ColorVive. it protects it from fading/ changing colors. Other good ones are the Born Blonde brand (possibly Frieda?), they have shamp/cond for all highlight colors (red, blonde, etc.)

i suggest the color care line from biolage. (:

I was wondering what is a good Shampoo to use if your hair gets greasy really fast?
My hair never used to be like this but all a sudden this year its been getting greasy really fast I don't get it what is the best shampoo to use?I was wondering what is a good Shampoo to use if your hair gets greasy really fast?
The absolute best is a new brand just coming out called Organix. Its got organic active ingredients, and is sulfate free, so it won't dry out your hair. The fragrances are absolutely amazing! You can get Organix over the next few weeks at Kroger, Safeway, Target, Duane Reade, etc. You'll love it!
www.organixhair.comI was wondering what is a good Shampoo to use if your hair gets greasy really fast?
either a daily shampoo or a clarifying shampoo but DO NOT use the clarifying shampoo everyday seeing that will dry you out to much. I would start off with 2 times a week and see how that works. also get a salon brand shampoo seeing they dont have wax in them which will aid in the oily problem
Try baby shamppo or this stuff called Prell.
Use a clarifying shampoo
I have the same problem. When shopping for shampoo; I read what the bottle is good for. After going through many different shampoos; I've found that Suave is the best.
I don't know of a shampoo but i recently read this in a magazine:
Once a week, mix 1/2 cup lemon juice with 1/2 cup water, pour it all over your head, and wrap it in a warm towel for 10 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse out.
It says that it removes excess oil without overdrying your hair. I have not gotten to try it yet, but if it works for you let me know!
please get shikakai shampoo its the best it is natural land gives body to ur hair and all
i like 'cool dip' by john Freida - the beach blonde series. it does not matter if you have blonde hair or not--i have dark brown, and i use this alot. it is refreshing--and i use it as a clarifying shampoo once a week---it does not dry out your hair, yet it cleans very well. also, any clarifying shampoo is good, and just don't use a heavy conditioner--i also like the new line by herbal essence, the bright pink, blue or green bottles that are specialized for curly, straight or whatever kind of hair you like or want, and it is inexpensive. the cool dip is more expensive, but worth it--especially in the summer!
Herbal essences really helps make your hair shine and it gets rid of ant oily mess.
Herbal Essences/Bedhead (bedhead shampoo you can only buy from salons)
The both make your hair silky and take out the excess hair grease all well.
Good luck!
:)
neutrogena t/sal shampoo.
I have a similar problem. Try Catwalk ';Sexed Up'; Body building shampoo. Also, I've found that the Sunsilk shampoo (yellow one for blondes) works well too. If you go to www.hairapy.com , you can order a free sample of any of the shampoos. That way, you can try it for yourself to see if it effectively treats your problem before purchasing a huge bottle.
The trick to get rid of greasy hair is to wash it less. Sounds stupid, but every time you wash your hair, you strip away all the oil that your scalp produces to protect itself, so it produces more, and then you wash your hair again, and it produces more to compensate. The stronger the shampoo you use, the more oils it strips out. You could try diluting your shampoo a bit with water, but aim to only wash your hair a couple of times a week. You have to live with a few greasy days until you scalp gets used to not needing to make so much oil.

What shampoo & conditioner do u recommend for me?
My hair is very damaged =/, because I straighten all the time and its burnt =( I recently started using this stuff that you apply to your hair when straightening it so that it won't burn but its still damaged from when I didn't use the stuff. So what conditioner/shampoo brand would be best to help restore its healthiness, shiny-ness and softness. btw I'd prefer something that's not volume enhancing and what not, I want straight hair =)What shampoo %26amp; conditioner do u recommend for me?
I would recommend Aveda Brilliant shampoo and conditioner, and that you deep condition it once a week. What shampoo %26amp; conditioner do u recommend for me?
I have the same problem! i straighten my hair daily since it is so thick and poofy, its necessary to if i want to wear my hair down! :) I recently started using sunsilk thermashine shampoo and conditioner, and i love it, it really helps (also it smells awesome). When I bought my shampoo, it came with a sample of Sunsilk straight to perfection heat defense cream, for people like you and me who use heat styling a lot. It worked amazingly and i started buying it once my sample was gone. Also, I recommend a Remington Wet 2 Straight brand straightener, it works really well, doesnt ruin your hair, and is not very expensive: http://www.target.com/Remington-Wet-Stra鈥?/a>
My daily hair routine: I take a shower, using my sunsilk thermashine shampoo and conditioner, towel dry my hair, apply the heat defense cream, blow dry it, then straighten it with that straightener. My hair is a lot better now!
Unfortunately there isn't any shampoo or conditioner that is going to get your ends healthy again. You are going to have to get your damaged ends cut off not matter if its half an inch or an inch. Once you get your ends cut off try biolage hydrating shampoo %26amp; conditioner ( purple lettering) you can't get it anywhere other then hair salons. It really does make a big difference in getting moisture back into your hair if you straighten it a lot. Also consider getting a hair serum to put in your hair after you already spray the flat iron protector into your hair %26amp; apply more serum after you run the flat iron through your hair. Again make sure the serum is professional product bc walmart, cvs etc. may seem like it's helping your hair but in the long run you'll just end up having to get more cut off bc it won't do it's job. hope this helped!!
Mane n tail.
It is a horse shampoo and it works on humans to(it says it on the back.) I started using and in about a week my hair repaired and is shiny and soft.
also try some biosilk, you put it on your hair when it is dry and when you use the flat iron it melts the biosilk off of your hair instead of burning your hair. Don't use to much or it will look oily.
Good Luck(:
ya know.. it sounds bad but cutting your hair a little will help get rid of the deadness.. try another style like scrunching your hair. wearin it up naturally. and using tht garnier fructis sleek and shine made my hair softer. the leave in conditioner helps and the spray shine helps with the shine hope i helped!
sunsilk has a shampoo for damaged hair. i don't use that shampoo, but i do use the sunsilk brand and it works amazingly.
pantene. it works amazingly.
herbal essence or vive pro.. just look on the bottle to see which one is for damaged hair. They work great and smell good. :)
try head and shoulders or fruiticus. fruitcus has a shampoo especially for making hair straight.
Pantene Pro-V Moisture Renewal worked WONDERS for my hair
Use fructus garnier. it comes with different types for every type of hair. It's amazing and smells great! Try it
Dove frizz control. Its in a light purplr bottle.
Treseme or Dove
i have very dry curley hair put olivel oil it works
i recomend one of those big buzzing razor things.
it helps dont worry.

What are the pros and cons of washing your hair with soap rather than shampoo?
pros: gets hair cleaner if that's what you want.
cons: it dries out your hairWhat are the pros and cons of washing your hair with soap rather than shampoo?
Soap will make your hair drier than using shampoo. What are the pros and cons of washing your hair with soap rather than shampoo?
i've never heard of anyone washing their hair with soap. i think you should just stick with the regular shampoo!
ILK! DO NOT DO THAT! Soap is designer for your body. Shampoo is for hair [obviously, yea i no] But my point is soap is probably too harsh for your hair... thats not good.
Soap is way more harsh... while shampoo is more gentle
u cant wash ur hair with soap!!!!
Soap is not made to clean your hair. it will take out the dirt from your hair, but it will also strip out the natural oils and dry out your hair. You should use a shampoo as it is made for your hair and has the conditioners and protiens that your hair needs. You wouldn't use shampoo on your body, so why would you use soap on your body. Also, you should use a conditioner on your hair to keep it shinning and to keep all knots out of it and to keep it from getting split ends.
Most shampoos are actually more gentle than soaps that you use to clean your body. There are no pros to using something more harsh than needed on your hair. If you are simply looking to minimize the number of products, consider the reverse (i.e. using shampoo to wash your body), as there are shampoos that are also made to be used as a body wash (Paul Mitchell's Awapui come to mind, but there are others).
DONT DO IT!
Other than don't do it, which is just stupid and doesn't answer the question, there are no pro's. Soap will dry out your scalp and hair and make you look like you have dandruff.

Does any one think using vo5 shampoo is better than bar soap?
my dad said to me that sense he started do this, his skin felt better (less itching and dryness) i tried it and i say the same. but here of late as it is getting winter my shin is itching more.Does any one think using vo5 shampoo is better than bar soap?
Shampoos that you can see through are detergent-based and therefore too harsh for your skin.
Shampoos that are opaque (can't see through) are gentler, less detergent. I'm not advocating using shampoo on your skin but for your dad's particular skin type, he may be experiencing this difference.
Stick with body soap and if you have dry skin, apply a lotion after getting out of the shower.Does any one think using vo5 shampoo is better than bar soap?
Shampoo is a bit harsher than body soap. I always use shower gel or a moisturizing body wash during winter. Aveeno is a fantastic lotion to use after a shower! Winter is harsher on skin: cold winds, snow, etc. Hence the Aveeno lotion!
Shampoo is for your hair. Your hair needs different moisture levels. The best thing to use for your skin is a bar soap or body wash with a good moisturizer like cocoa butter or shea butter.

caviar shampoo and conditioner by alterna-your looking at spending at least 185 dollars for the set! But it is like silk if your really serious about great hair. What is the all time best shampoo that will instantly inprove your hair?
Sunsilk by Helene Curtis,it really works...What is the all time best shampoo that will instantly inprove your hair?
I have been using Thermasilk and I have notice that is making my hair soft and shiny and my hair was pretty dull so I am very satisfied with my results
nutri gloss...loreal i think...itsa pink bottl3e ...dont forget the conditioner...and its affordable
Sunsilk is my new best friend! My hair was really damaged...within a week, not anymore!
Pantene
This depends on your hair type...
Thinning/hard to grow-Nioxin
Frizzy-Biologe smoothing
Dry-Nexxus something or other quench
Curly-Matrix
Doggypoo!
I duno about shampoo, but St Ives hair repair is f'ing awesome.
my friend told me about these horse shampoos/conditioners';mane and tail';..( forgot wht the name is called) But you can find them at walmart in the shampoo isle....Heard they are really good
matrix has this shampoo and condtioner for color revival - in a pinky-purple bottle- but you don't have to have dyed hair for it. It makes your hair very supple and manageable pretty much from the first use! You do pay for it though, hehe. Depending on where you live, it's probably about 10-20 dollars a bottle (it's 16 in Brooklyn, and 13 in Florida, so I'm estimating).
Hope that helps, hun.

Has anyone tried any of the shampoo & conditioners for specific hair colors?
Like the Pantene, John Freida, Sunsilk stuff for blondes, brunettes, etc. How exactly does it work? What does it do? Brighten your color?Has anyone tried any of the shampoo %26amp; conditioners for specific hair colors?
I've used Sheer Blonde and Brilliant Brunette from John Frieda b/c my hair color is dark blonde, but light brown..lol! But I didn't see any changes...my hair was exactly the same. Now, I use the Pantene Time Renewal (Straighten my hair alot) and it makes my hair really clean and really shiny. I love it, but personally, I wouldn't spend the extra money for the shampoos that supposedly brighten your hair color...because they don't.
But, that's just my opinon about it...
Ciao for now,
TaraHas anyone tried any of the shampoo %26amp; conditioners for specific hair colors?
i used john Freida for a long time but now suave has the same type of product, it cheaper and it works just as well. they basically make your hair more luminous and bring out your highlights and lowlights.
i've tried just about everything for brunettes besides sunsilk. they're supposed to bring out certain tones of your hair color. i can't tell a difference.
i used brunette expressions, didn't notice anything different. My friends used blond expressions and she had a very bright, blond steak in her hair for about a week. So i do not really know about that stuff!
I use herbal essence color therapy and i've had my color for almost five months now%26gt;

What is the best shampoo to use for split ends?
Can you show me a picture or somthing lol thnxWhat is the best shampoo to use for split ends?
You can't get rid of split ends with shampoo. Go and get a trim to cut them off. :)
To prevent split ends and treat damaged hair keep curling and straightening to a minimum... use castor oil on your ends to repair the hair and help it grow healthy. You can get castor oil at the grocery store or drugstore, it's often in the laxative section. (don't drink it!)
Avoid shampoos with harsh chemicals they will make your hair worse. Burts Bees and Avalon Organics make good ones.
This one= my favourite:
http://avalonorganics.com/?id=88%26amp;pid=621
When using heat always use heat protectant, and if you have to, only comb wet hair with a wide tooth comb, and don't use a brush...What is the best shampoo to use for split ends?
The hairstylist who answered first should know this answer but they have given you the completely wrong answer, which is slightly confusing. There is no shampoo that will cure split ends, but conditioner can have a temporary 'flattening' effect. The best way to avoid split ends is to get regular haircuts and trim the ends whenever you feel needed. Cutting is the only way you can cure this, don't fall into the trap of 'miracle' shampoo's that will con you. Good luck.
What shampoo?
A hair cut will help with split ends.
You can't use ANYTHING on your hair that will reseal the hair. It's dead, it's not an organism or tissue like skin that heals once it's been damaged. All you can do is get a proper cut and use proper hair products for YOUR hair type, and reduce heat styling and shampooings during the week. As long as you keep your hair hydrated and keep the roots clean, and don't brush the hair a lot (or at all) and use hair products that are designed for your hair type, then you should experience less split ends and healthier hair.
Try using Chi silk infusion on your ends and even on your whole hair. (it makes it soft and shiny and gets rid of dead ends) or bio silk is good also. and conditioner is good for that too focus on your dead ends while in the shower. you can get a trim at the haircut too. I hope I helped!! :)

You need to get the split ends cut off before they go all the way up to the root. A good shampoo will mask them for a while but they will not go away for good.

trim your hair.white makeup
You can't get rid of split ends with shampoo. Go and get a trim to cut them off. :)
To prevent split ends and treat damaged hair keep curling and straightening to a minimum... use castor oil on your ends to repair the hair and help it grow healthy. You can get castor oil at the grocery store or drugstore, it's often in the laxative section. (don't drink it!)
Avoid shampoos with harsh chemicals they will make your hair worse. Burts Bees and Avalon Organics make good ones.
This one= my favourite:

When using heat always use heat protectant, and if you have to, only comb wet hair with a wide tooth comb, and don't use a brush...What is the best shampoo to use for split ends?
The hairstylist who answered first should know this answer but they have given you the completely wrong answer, which is slightly confusing. My friends mom uses this and it doesn't ruin her hair. It actually does great things to her hair. But if you don't trust it then don't try it.
Maybe go for Garnier or Herbal Essences.
it looks cheap because it is for horses xD
