You can't get rid of split ends with shampoo. Go and get a trim to cut them off. :)
To prevent split ends and treat damaged hair keep curling and straightening to a minimum... use castor oil on your ends to repair the hair and help it grow healthy. You can get castor oil at the grocery store or drugstore, it's often in the laxative section. (don't drink it!)
Avoid shampoos with harsh chemicals they will make your hair worse. Burts Bees and Avalon Organics make good ones.
This one= my favourite:

When using heat always use heat protectant, and if you have to, only comb wet hair with a wide tooth comb, and don't use a brush...What is the best shampoo to use for split ends?
The hairstylist who answered first should know this answer but they have given you the completely wrong answer, which is slightly confusing. There is no shampoo that will cure split ends, but conditioner can have a temporary 'flattening' effect. The best way to avoid split ends is to get regular haircuts and trim the ends whenever you feel needed. Cutting is the only way you can cure this, don't fall into the trap of 'miracle' shampoo's that will con you. Good luck.
What shampoo?
A hair cut will help with split ends.
You can't use ANYTHING on your hair that will reseal the hair. It's dead, it's not an organism or tissue like skin that heals once it's been damaged. All you can do is get a proper cut and use proper hair products for YOUR hair type, and reduce heat styling and shampooings during the week. As long as you keep your hair hydrated and keep the roots clean, and don't brush the hair a lot (or at all) and use hair products that are designed for your hair type, then you should experience less split ends and healthier hair.
Try using Chi silk infusion on your ends and even on your whole hair. (it makes it soft and shiny and gets rid of dead ends) or bio silk is good also. and conditioner is good for that too focus on your dead ends while in the shower. you can get a trim at the haircut too. I hope I helped!! :)

an moisturizing shampoo can help.
but whats going to make the difference is your conditioner and your styling products!

im a hairstylist
You need to get the split ends cut off before they go all the way up to the root. A good shampoo will mask them for a while but they will not go away for good.
pantene
trim your hair.
