Is it okay to use shampoo to wash my vagi?

is there anything better that i can use?Is it okay to use shampoo to wash my vagi?
You're technically not supposed to put anything on your vulva or in your vagina that you wouldn't put in your eye. It's a mucous membrane. A thorough rinsing with warm water is sufficient. I know that sounds gross, but after frequent infections from washing TOO thoroughly and killing off my friendly bacteria and pH of vagina, I was told by my gyno to stop using soap. The vagina cleans itself, all you have to do is rinse it.Is it okay to use shampoo to wash my vagi?
yea regular body soap or summers eve
Yes, soap. It's about $1.00 for one cake.
The inside of your vagina is self cleaning, so you don't need anything. Plain water is the best thing to wash the outside with (or a mixture of water and vinegar). Using soaps etc will upset the natural pH down there leading to bacterial infection, and odour. It's supposed to be slightly acidic down there, so a mixture of water and vinegar will help maintain that even if you get some soap of shampoo on it when you are cleaning the rest of yourself.
