My friend with curly hair uses Herbal Essences Totaly Twusted shampoo. I use the pin straight! What is the best shampoo and conditioner for naturally curlly hair?
the best ive ever used is the main and tail horse shampoo ...i have curly frizzy hair also. after i wash my hair i use Smooth N Shine hair polisher .and i blow dry my hair or let it air dry ...
Use Aussie Shampoo/Conditioner. They have a line made for curly/wavy hair that's really great. Don't use pantene, it's actually terrible for hair.
i have the same problem i use elvine re-nutrition caring shampoo it make you hair shiny bouncy and non frizzy! hope this helps
herbal essences- either the purple bottle, or the red bottle
I use Professional Sebastian and its really good.
aussie.. it works really well for me
try pantene products and tretments are brill for frizzy hair

What's a good shampoo for frizzy hair and a sensitive scalp?

Recently i bought head and shoulders shampoo and even though it did quench my frizz and made my scalp feel nice it also made my hair greasy even though i wash it everyday. what shampoo makes the scalp feel tingly and not cool whilst leaving my hair shiny and frizz free? price is not really an issue. Thanking you in advance. What's a good shampoo for frizzy hair and a sensitive scalp?
I've worked in alot of salons and the product that i can say tou need is Tea Tree by Paul Mitchell. This stuff will give you that nice tingly feeling and it's main focus is scalp sensitivity. As far as a greasy scalp, you have to use a shampoo that is transparent or see-through like a gel. A creamy shampoo will add to the greasyness...And just as a tip, stay away from sodium lauryl sulfate in shampoo because it'll iritate the scalp more. So when you buy a shampoo also make sure its sulfate free...Good luck! What's a good shampoo for frizzy hair and a sensitive scalp?
I knew someone who couldn't use two-in-one shampoo nad conditioner coz it made her hair greasy. Try using seperate ones - head and shoulders do them seperate now, and as someone else said, try only washing it twice or three times a week, or maybe every other day.
I'm not sure, but don't wash your hair every day.

That's whats making it greasy. Twice or three times a week will be fine.

What is the best shampoo/conditioner you have used?

I got my hair highlighted in late June. It is naturally a darker brown and I have gradually had it dyed to a blonde. When my hair was done, my scalp got really dry and actually bled in a few spots. It is since back to normal (for the most part). I have been using L'Oreal Ever Pure and it works fine. I'm just looking for something better %26amp;/or equivalent. MUST be for color treated hair...and explain why you like it. Easy 10 points! What is the best shampoo/conditioner you have used?
Gillette

it smells good and manly

you should definitely try it outWhat is the best shampoo/conditioner you have used?
Herbal Escences.

Suave color treated hair.
my favourite is dangerously straight by herbal essences.

but i would suggest trying colour me happy instead. [also by herbal essences.]

its great because it leaves my hair hydrated, and soft even after i dry %26amp; straighten it. XD
I reallly like Dove, Intense Therapy shampoo and conditioner. It makes your hair soft and will also help repair it from the damage all the dying caused. I use it and and it made my hair completelyyy healthy again!

Hope this helps!

If i use blonde shampoo from john frieda what would it do to my hair?

i have brown hair and if i used the shampoo made for blondes would it still work or would it make my hair lighter? If i use blonde shampoo from john frieda what would it do to my hair?
Those kinds of products don't change the color of your hair. They make them because they are supposed to help each different hair color in some way, or at least that's what they say. It's just shampoo. It won't lighten your hair.If i use blonde shampoo from john frieda what would it do to my hair?
This line from John Frieda is meant to enhance your natural or color treated hair specifically according to color so if your hair is brown it will not benefit your hair color.

If you are looking to lighten your hair or add highlights an at home highlighting kit is inexpensive and easy to use. Look for the kits that have the comb applicator as these make highlighting easier as well as more natural looking. The following are good kits to consider and are all available for under $25;

Clairol Herbal Essences HighLights

L'Or茅al Couleur Experte

Revlon High Dimension Color Accents Highlighting Kit

For the most natural looking highlights don't go too light.

If your just looking to add shine to your hair you can try an at home glaze, John Frieda makes one for Brunettes.

Hope this helps!

no it won't do anything because i tried that and i have red hair and i put blonde shampoo in my hair and it didn't do anything
Don't use John Frieda products, they suck.

I think it would just make your hair brighter.

Dunno if that makes sense, but yeah.
I habe natrual light blonde hair, and It makes my color loook more nice and shiny etc. But I don't think It would do much to brown har. Maybe light brown hair, but not dark
it depends what your natrual hair color is

  • What are some good shampoo and conditioners?

am using Aussie dual purpose shampoo and conditioner now for oily and dry hair. its pretty good. but i need something to treat the dandruff that comes with it and also some frizziness.

my hair is kinda thick, since i did that japanese hair straightening thing, which toned down the poofyness, though i still have some volume.

all in all, i would like something that combines all 4(oily, dry, dandruff %26amp; frizz), or something that will help.

thank you! What are some good shampoo and conditioners?
matrixWhat are some good shampoo and conditioners?
I have very thick frizzy hair and i use aussie mega. I just wash and condition my hair first leave the conditionar in my hair wile i finish the shower then rence. The only time i get frizz or puffy hair any more is when im in a rush and jump in and out as fast as i can.
    use garnier.

or go to a s alon any buy some stuff
I myself, and my daughter have extremely thick hair and its hard for us to keep the frizz out,and dryness. Although, i cannot think of a combined shampoo and conditioner we use john Frieda's brillant brunette shampoo and it works beautifully. There are ingredients in it designed to keep hair soft, shinny, and no frizz. It can be quite expensive, I know this does not solve the dandruff problem but this shampoo and conditioner truly works!!! hope i helped
I did the japanese hair straightener. Never agian. It was great till my hair started to grow out. Also my hair got really damaged. I used Redken to keep it healthy. I would recommend living with the pain of always doing your hair or learning to use about two things of conditioner to every thing of shampoo.
Try the shampoos and conditions they sell at Bath and Body Shops. They are really good and smell nice too.

What's the best shampoo/conditioner to define waves & curls?

My hair is really stubborn but I want to accentuate it's positive points and style it. Garnier Fructis and Sunsilk haven't worked for me. Any suggestions for something that will actually work? What's the best shampoo/conditioner to define waves %26amp; curls?
Herbal Essence works for me! (It has a line of good waves and curls products, and the bottles are purple!) Hope I helped!

Is it ok to shampoo hair every 2nd day?

I shower everyday and shampoo my hair every 2nd day, is this good?

I heard ur not supposed to shampoo ur hair everyday cuz it will make it more dry and oily.Is it ok to shampoo hair every 2nd day?
it all depends on your hair texture. for coarse texture like in african american hair, you shouldnt wash it very often because then the natural hair oils get lost. with straight hair, there arent as many oils so you can wash it a little more often. all in all if you have coarse hair, wash every 3 or 4 days. with straight, every other is fineIs it ok to shampoo hair every 2nd day?
Really? I have to have a shower everyday or my hair gets greasy and if I don't shampoo it gets really itchy....seems to damage my hair.
yes. shampoo your hair every other day.
I think you are right. every other day is good
Every two or three days is good...
Yes, everyday can lead to a dry scalp. Every other day is perfect.

Infusium 23, which can be found at your local drug store! I had bad damage from coloring and this stuff really helped. The transformation did not happen overnight but rather it is a gradual process but I did see results after about 2 weeks. I tried many salon products and all they did was add to the damage. I found out the hard way I was allergic to several of the salon products but I have no problem with the Infusium 23. I also have had good luck with Aquage - I use a spray before straightening my hair to help protect it from heat damage but I don't use their shampoo or conditioner.
Sunsilk. There are different types of the shampoo so you can find the type thats right for your hair. I've used it for months and it is great.
    nexxus--%26gt;pricey but worked for me.
The best shampoo for dry or colored hair does not have:

    Sodium Laueth Sulfates

    Glycerin

    Sodium Chloride

    Citrus

All of the above will leave your hair in a more dry and damaged state.

conditioning agent bentrimonium chloride works wonders on any type of hair.
Okay, this will be kind of long since there are several factors.

My hair is pretty damaged from blow drying, flat-iron, and coloring. Once the hair is damaged, there is no real cure. Thats why I don't think those shampoos really work. You need something with LOTS of moisture, a conditioner that's really thick. I've tried many, many professional and drug-store products, and I think Redken products are fantastic. My favorite is Redken Active Express Shampoo and Conditioner. It detangles hair immediately and hair feels shiny and smooth after drying. Artec Kiwi Shampoo and Conditioner is also great for moisture. Anytime you condition, make sure to leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing. Also, shine spray really helps when your hair is wet/drying. I have used ';Mica'; by Abba for years. The other thing I wanted to mention is that sometimes it's not about the shampoo/conditioner. If your hair is already dry/damaged, you have to make the best of what you have by styling. You need a style that smooths the hair cuticles in a downward motion, so it ';appears'; healthy and smooth! I achieve this with a great flat iron.. I use a Kenta flat iron (which you can only find on-line since it's an import). My hair is not that healthy, but appears that way. Lastly, take vitamins everyday! After a few months, you will notice your new hair growing in is much healthier and will grow faster so you can cut off the old damaged hair. Vitamins really work!

PS - If you can afford it, professional hair products (including shampoos) are the best. I don't know why, they are just always better.
Try Pantene Pro-V's Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner:

Say goodbye to dry, damaged hair and split ends! Rejuvenate your hair and protect it from future damage with Daily Moisture Renewal Moisturizing Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. There is not such a thing as a normal hair; some people may have ';normal'; tinted hair and use a shampoo A that really suit her needs and another person may also have ';normal'; tinted hair and shampoo A doesnt do anything for her. I have thin, fine, delicate hair - it is easy to dry it out. I like Paul Mitchell products because they are very gentle and not tested on animals.

In particular, ';The Conditioner'; is my very favorite. It is a very light feeling, leave-in conditioner. Two thumbs up!
Try the loreal vive line of products. I use the shampoo and conditioner for dry hair and then finish with the serum. It is not at all drying. Oh, and I agree that Pantene is horrible stuff that will totally dry out and destroy your hair. Those Pantene models must never actually use the product!
Dove green tea and cucumber shampoo and conditioner works really well. Actually any dove hair products works really well!

1 - Try taking a look at other products that are not just shampoos

2 - Dandruff can be relieved by a variety of ways

Fleas help me i have a pruebred aust bull masstiff i have tried everything flea soap, powder, colars, shampoo as?

well as frontline and advantage and she still keeps getting them has anyone got any ideas ,home remedies or other products i havent triedFleas help me i have a pruebred aust bull masstiff i have tried everything flea soap, powder, colars, shampoo as?
Are you using the Frontline and Advantage EVERY four weeks?

Flea collars don't work. Don't bother with them. Anything you get from the store is not worth it either. If you are buying your Frontline and Advantage from any one BUT a veterinarian, that may be your problem. Frontline and Advantage are only guaranteed when bought from vets. There is no telling how the product was handled during shipping.

Also, if you have a bad festation in your house, it can take 3-4 months to kill them all. Keep using the Advantage. Use it religously. It will kill the festation. With Advantage the fleas don't have to bite the pet. They only have to come into contact with them. If you live in an area that has fleas year round, you will have to use Advantage year round. If you miss a dose, your dog will get fleas again.

If you bomb your house, you will have to cover all your tableware, put all your food stored on shelves into the refrigerator, you will have to wash all cooking surfaces and utensils to make sure you and your family are not ingesting insecticide residue. I don't recommend bombs. If you use the Advantage it will clear the house.

Also, Diazenon is environmentally toxic. Your dog can pick it up on his feet and be poisoned. Any children coming into contact with it can be poisoned.Fleas help me i have a pruebred aust bull masstiff i have tried everything flea soap, powder, colars, shampoo as?
Have you tried giving her brewers yeast, or garlic? When you de-flea her you have to also de-flea your house or where she sleeps. Ask you Vet for more advanced flea protection since the ones you have tried aren't working.
One natural way of controlling fleas that people have used is to put plants in their garden or yard that ward off fleas. It sounds weird, but many plants have natural pesticides as a defense mechanism such as lavender. Lavender actually got a reputation in the middle ages as a cure for the plague. This was simply because it kept fleas away, and it was used as a scent on clothing. So the people who used it didn't get bitten and didn't catch plague from the fleas. Lavender is generally not toxic to dogs or cats. another longer lasting and also more controversial method that I use myself is seven dust. put it in a coffee can with holes punched in the lid, shake it on and rub it down to the skin. It is a home and garden insect repellent. I have 12 Siberian huskies and malamutes all outside and had a horrible problem with them getting eaten alive by flies and you name its. A vet ';quietly'; recommended it to me for use on my pets and the wildlife I rehabilitate. It has basically the same ingredients as all the other things you have tried and it is safe to use on edible garden plants. Research it! Oh you may also use it inside to clean up the ones that stay behind, sprinkle wait 10 minutes and vacuum!
You need to treat your yard and bushes, as well as spraying all furniture. Wash all linens and spray your mattresses. Steam clean your carpets often...and get rid of throw rugs or wash weekly. Advantage and Frontline will work perfectly on the dog; as well as combing out fleas and drowning them in a bowl of water as you comb. Comb anytime you have your dog outside the sprayed areas. Don't forget to sanitize your car as well. The trick is killing them in all other areas. I live in Florida...and the battle never ends!!! At least we don'y have ticks in our area! Good luck
Have you used the liquid capsules you break open and apply only to the nab of the neck... It is absorbed thru the skin of the neck and takes three to four days, to work but works very well for over a month. Re apply every month and that should work well .. But follow the directions as you may have a very large dog and he may need a larger dose .... Read and ask your Vet....
wow, you should like water your yard so the fleas will drown
Most products only kill one or two stages in the flea's life cycle. Advantage will kill the adult fleas, but it does nothing for the eggs. Thats why you get a 4 month supply in the package. Use all four doses over 4 months as directed.

A lot of products all use Pyrethrins as their active ingredient. This is likely the case with the shampoos and powders especially. There is little value in repeating the same ';active ingredient'; from a different bottle.

Some places, like Florida, are starting to see fleas that are resistant to products previously considered reliable. Some products, like Advantage, are supposed to have a very fast kill rate. If you still see adult fleas a couple of days after using the product, you may want to try another product.
Stop with the powders, shampoos and collars. All fairly ineffective.

Here's what will work. Put your dog on a topical product from the Vet Clinic - Revolution/Advantage/Frontline all good products.

    Spray your home.

Now, you have to keep your pet on the product for at least 3-4 months to give all the fleas in your house a chance to hatch and end up on your pet.

You MUST treat every pet in the house. If a flea bites an untreated pet it will reproduce shortly thereafter and you will never end the cycle.

If you live in a shared building, you will need to keep her on a flea product year round. Fleas will move out of one apartment and come under your door to feed off your dog.

Finally, if other pets visit your home, remember that they can harbor fleas. Same advice applies - keep her on the product year round if she is exposed to a lot of other pets.

I know this sounds expensive, but its better then wasting your money on products that don't work. All of the above products come with guarantees and trust me, Vet clinics do not sell inferior products.
do you actually see them or does dog scratch dry , over cleansed skin ? if it really is fleas try letting dog swim in salt water several times a week for a month . or diatomacious earth dusting of your carpets.
Have you treated your HOME? Fleas only hop on pets to feed so if you have a bad flea infestation you need to treat the carpets in your home as well. You also need to strip down all beds and wash all bedding - yours and the dog's. You can buy some 20 Mule Team Borax in the laundry aisle at most supermarkets and sprinkle that in. You can also use diatomaceous earth - you can find that at Lowes and Home Depot. You also may want to treat your yard. Lowes and other home stores have granules you can sprinkle in your yard to kill fleas and other insects out there.

Don't use the soaps, powders, collars and shampoos. Not only are they mostly ineffective but they contain harsh pesticides that can make your dog very, very ill. And combining them could actually be DEADLY. Use Frontline or Advantage on a monthly basis. Also make sure you're using a dosage big enough for a breed as large as your dog. I use the Frontline Plus 89-132 lbs for my 100lb Newf/Lab. If your dog is larger than that then ask your vet which dosage to use - you may have to use two of the smaller dog vials so there's enough meds for the size of your dog. http://www.800petmeds.com is where I buy mine - much cheaper than elsewhere.
dont forget to treat your carpet if your have some.
Hi, I've heard that spraying you dogs bedding with either lavender (not the perfume stuff, pure only) or tea tree oil is supposed to work??? Hope this helps, good luck.
The safest and cheapest method of getting rid of fleas is to use a mixture of boric acid and salt. The powder should be sprayed on carpets, bedding and areas frequented by pets.
Fleas hate lemon juice..I dilute some with water in a spray bottle and lightly spray on my dogs back. She goes out to play and I havent seen a flea in months. http://www.ehow.com/how_2110321_naturall鈥?/a> Flea collars are so expensive, you can make your own.... http://www.aromatherapywellness.com/site鈥?/a>
    Spray your yard.
If she's a house dog, you need to treat the house as she's probably reinfesting in your home.

You sprinkle diazanon granules in the yard to make sure she doesn't reinfest in the yard.

You bug bomb the house every 4 days for a total of 4 to 6 times.

Bug bombs only kill the live fleas in the house, not the eggs that are hidden in your rugs and furniture. And so to kill all the eggs, you have to bug bomb every 4 days to kill the newly hatched eggs before they breed.

Get some kennel dip. It is concentrated and comes in a small bottle. You mix a little in a quart of water and sponge it on her after her bath.

    Flea collars are worthless.

Dawn liquid soap will drown them if you shampoo the dog in it and leave it on. If you can comb her with a flea comb, that will help you know which are live and which ones you see are actually dead bodies.
CAPSTAR available from your vets. you will see dead fleas within 20 mins. when i use it on my dog (a huge Alsation crosss) it takes effect almost immediately. It works!

What's the best shampoo for a dog with dry sensitive skin?

My dog has the same skin problem. He kept scratching from his dry and itchy skin. My vet and a lot of pet stores have recommended ';Natural Care'; shampoo. Its made of natural ingredients that won't harm you're pet. Also, there are a few types that include oatmeal. I've bought and tried the 8 in 1 oatmeal shampoo before but it only helped the shininess with the coat, it didn't really help the dry sensitive skin. Try buying one that includes oatmeal in it if you want. But you should ask you're vet about it or talk to your pet store employees, majority of them are very educated and passionate as you and can provide good recommendations, if still unsure ask vet, different breeds react differently. =)What's the best shampoo for a dog with dry sensitive skin?
Doggy aotmeal shampooWhat's the best shampoo for a dog with dry sensitive skin?
My dog's skin has been doing pretty well since we switched her over to an oatmeal shampoo (bought it at a pet store).
You should get an oatmeal based shampoo for dogs. Don't bathe it more than once a month. Also, feed it a good lamb and rice dog food. My dog had the same problem. My vet recommended those and it did the trick.
AN OATMEAL SHAMPOO IS WHAT I SUGGEST AND MAKE SURE YOU COMPLETELY RINSE THE HAIR
I have been washing my little doggie with Johnson's Baby Shampoo Lavender. When I bought her at the breeder, the breeder said it was the only dog shampoo she ever uses. You can try putting a conditioner on her after if she has dry skin - has worked for me for many years.
Oatmeal shampoos are good. I started to use Mane and Tale on my dogs. That is the shampoo for horses that people use, too. It works great on my dogs. I also use the conditioner on them.
just look it up on google or yahoo.
    kerosene
Talk to your vet about possibly buying a medicated shampoo from them made specifically for your dogs problems. Other than that, any Oatmeal based shampoo is good for dry/sensitive skin. That is what I use most often when bathing my shelter dogs, and my own personal pets.
use a shampoo that has oatmeal in it. i use four paws magic coat Natural oatmeal shampoo, its hypo-allergenic and helps relieve intching and scratching. my dog has skin allergies and this seems to help him,. also the vet told me to use cold water, the hot water tends to dry out their skin causing more itching
Pet store should be able to help you, get one for senitive skin, what else ?Duh!
8 in 1 Pro Pet Salon Shampoos

Pro Pet Salon's premium concentrate shampoos, with extraordinarily rich cleansing and conditioning properties, remove dirt and other buildup without stripping your pet's skin and coat of its natural oils. Offered in a variety of formulas for all of your dogs needs. at petco
You can consult a veterinarian and see what he or she recommends or go to a pet store and look very carefully at all the available dog shampoos.... typically anythining with oatmeal in it can be very soothing to a dog's dry skin. I highly suggest that you do consult a veterinarian first to be on the safe side.
You should get a shampoo with oatmeal in it for dogs.

  • What's the best shampoo+conditioner for color treated hair that's dry and damaged?

DON'T DO HERBAL ESSANCES!!! herbal essances really is cheap stuff, and is certainly NOT for colored treated hair.

I've tried many different salon brands, and wasn't impressed with any of them honestly, even Paul Mitchell or John Frieda. But out of the salon brands, Paul Mitchell is the best.

I recommend Aussie. Some consider it a salon brand, some don't. I think it's ';salon quallity'; but I don't consider it a ';salon brand'; because you can find it at any drugstore really.

For you, I'd recommend Aussie Hair Insurance or Aussie Moist. Hair Insurance repairs damage and prevents it. Moist offers lots of moisture. Both are great!!! And Aussie has good styling products tooWhat's the best shampoo+conditioner for color treated hair that's dry and damaged?
Herbal Essences. Classic Herbal. For coloured/permed/dry/damaged hair. It comes in a pink bottle. Best s+c for my hair (which is dry, damaged and dyed) as it keeps it soft and keeps the colour well. What's the best shampoo+conditioner for color treated hair that's dry and damaged?
    Use pantene pro-V

What is the best shampoo & conditioner for colored women?

It depends on what color you are. What is the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for colored women?
There are lots of different shampoos that are good for black, Mexican, Asian... women. Without knowing your ethnicity, I'd have to say the Pantene line. I also love Organic Root Stimulator and Aphogee. As for conditioner, once again, I'd suggest Pantene or Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Reconditioning Pack. Aphogee has an awesome reconstructor.

Now, which shampoo you use is not as important as HOW you shampoo your hair - see link.

What is the best shampoo for me?

I have naturally straight hair and Im tired of buying shampoos and throwing bottles away bc i dont like them. for some reason my hair has broken off 3-4 inches from my scalp. I want something that controls and prevents it for the future. i heard cheaper shampoos such as pantene, etc arent good for your hair. Any suggestions? What is the best shampoo for me?
Go to your local salon and ask them for Redken Extreme. It is an inexpensive professional product that works awesome. Also don't do any chemical processing til your hair heals. STAY AWAY from pantene and other over the counter products. They contain a wax agent that can do serious damage to your hair. When your hair is wet don't brush use a comb and don't pull it back in a hair tie when wet. Best of Luck!!!!What is the best shampoo for me?
wow, sounds serious maybe try mane and tail...
    Garner Frutrices (or whatever)
My hairdress suggested that if i insist on using grocery store shampoo (i admit it, im cheap!) try using Dove shampoo. They clean and condition really well without leaving deposits in your hair (such as pantene, which i have also heard is the worse). She suggested the Dove soft line (i am not sure of the actual name). I also use RedKin Soft line as well.

I suggest going to a stylist or a beauty supply store and see what they suggest.

You could also ask for samples as well.
I LOVE AND ABSLOUTELY adore john freida in rillian brunette and just choose your coliur choice i use chocolate to espresso. it makes my hair really shiny and i havent had any breakage problem since. hope this helps x
My advice would be to not use shampoo at all. Instead cleanse your scalp and hair with a good conditioner. It sounds crazy, but the stimulation along with the conditioner will do just as much as a shampoo will. Try this for 2-3 weeks, and your hair will be healthier and look better.
Don't use those cheap Wal-Mart shampoos!! Use Aveda hair products. Look for an Aveda salon there.

    www.aveda.com
My wife has the same problem. There is a good solution to the hair control and that is with Arbonne Intelligence Shampoo and Conditioner. Its all natural, doesn't contain harsh chemicals, and helps get rid of all the junk we put in our hair on a daily basis. You can check it out and by it at http://lookgoodfeelgood.myarbonne.com .

Ladies: What body wash/shampoo do you use to smell good all day?

Pantene pro V is my favorite for shampoo and if you use conditioner the yummy smell lasts longer and body wash I use t his vanilla jasmine lavender body scrub from bath and body works and OMG it smells so good! and at night when I go to bed it is still on my skin my husband can still smell it on my neck I dont even have to use perfume it smells so goodLadies: What body wash/shampoo do you use to smell good all day?
For Body wash i use Dove, it smells clean, but not amazingly good, thats why i use Harajuku Lovers G, its got a flowery coconut kind of smell, its girly and fruity and smells amazing! And for shampoo I use Biolage shampoo and conditioner, but because i always end up using different products and heat and stuff it doesnt stay smelling like my shampoo, so i just spray my perfume on my hair tooLadies: What body wash/shampoo do you use to smell good all day?
    it depends really

but i use this thing from bath and body works, it's this lemon tart/vanilla scent that's 3 in ! (bubble bath, body wash, and shampoo) it smells really good!

but if i don't have that, i use dove or bedhead.
Odds are what ever you are already using smells good all day, you just don't know it because you are used to it!

I use Pantene and it smells good all day and I cant smell it but People tell me all the time they do.
philosophy-3 n 1s shampoo, bubble bath shower gel...havent bought one in a while though... been on a budget lately , so now i use dove go fresh water mint body wash, shampoo i use herbal essence uh dont remember the name but the bottle is red
I use nivea body wash and pantene shampoo but its wears off pretty quick. I think the trick to smelling good all day is the moistureizer you use (and perfume obviously)
I use Go Fresh Grapefruit and Lemongrass scent, it smells yummy all day long! I use shea butter body wash, and vanilla mist. :)
jergans...then use some sort of body splash periodically throughout the day and the same lotion
Well, I always sweat, and whenever I feel that I am going to smell bad all day, I use ';DOVE'; soap. You can get anywhere!

What is the best shampoo for volume?

I have long blonde hair and I need some shampoo that will make it more voluminous. Right now I'm using Pantene Beautiful Lengths, and it makes it soft but super flat at the roots. I want it to lift at the roots and be thick.

Any suggestions? :)What is the best shampoo for volume?
dont use shampoo use poo it full of proteens to keep ure head brown for hoursWhat is the best shampoo for volume?
This isn't a shampoo, but one of my friends gave me this really great idea for extra body and it always seems to work great.

If you have a flat iron, what you can do is grab about 2-3 inches of hair, hold them straight up, spray with hairspray, and then hold the flat iron at the root for about 15 seconds. After that you can tease and add more hairspray if you want, but usually it's not necessary. This may take a while, but when you're done, you're hair will look great. A similar look can be accomplished with giant hot rollers placed just at the roots.

Also: Remmington has a great root-lifter. It's kind of like moose, but it's thinner and you can spray it directly under your roots without getting it all over your hands. The salon I go to uses it in my hair, and it works like magic! It's a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it.

Is there honestly a shampoo/condtioner you can use to enhance haircolor?

I see where different brands make shampoos for red heads, blondes %26amp; brunnettes, but do they work. I have strawberry blonde hair and would like to make it brighter without adding artificial hair coloring. The sun has kinda lightend me up and I want the red to come back through. Is there honestly a shampoo/condtioner you can use to enhance haircolor?
Yes, those shampoos do work. They have actual pigments in them that deposit small amounts of color onto the hair. If you are wanting the red to come back in your hair, get a shampoo and conditioner for redheads. It will enhance to the existing red pigment in your hair as well as add a little color. The color it will add is purely temporary (shampoo to shampoo) so it will not damage or change your natural hair color. Is there honestly a shampoo/condtioner you can use to enhance haircolor?
herbal essence. its rly good 2 use! i trustthat brand w/ my hair alot!
use the john frieda shampoo and conditioner it works really good and it brought my hair back the way i wanted it and enhanced my hair color and made it look healthier and i was really happy. i would try the redhesd shampoo/conditioner if you want some of the red to come back because it has actual color and just keep using it until the color comes back but it the red doesn't come back and stay back because it is sorta temporary and it wont damage your hair i recommend u get your hair colored just a tiny tiny bit so it doesn't get too damaged. I hope this works for you because it works for me.
my sister and X used one that works. I am not sure if it the same one. but it worked. they were both very happy with the product.
try like, color vive or somethin like that...it works for me

    3) mix the contents well, hey dont leak the plan to any of your friends.

    4) Dont expose your trick by smiling all the time, be normal.

    5) let them have the bath first.

    6) Wait and watch, Enjoy the fun.

Empty the shampoo into another container(and hide that)and put some liquid that when used you can see easily(without them able to wash it out in 3 days)Or shampoo for girls that smells all girly, and that you can sniff and see.
You could always put a different type of shampoo that has a strong scent and sniff them after, haha. (I'm being serious, some shampoo scents can be smelt across rooms. *shudder*)

Or, you could put hair dye into the bottle. Or food colouring.

Cover a small section of the shampoo bottle in whiteboard marker. (It'll be rubbed out where they've handled it without noticing)

Ask them if they've been using it.
ask them - they say no - put dye in it :D

Is it bad to shampoo your hair while its dry?

I heard this thing about shampooing your hair dry, rinsing it out, and shampooing it again but wet this time. So, bad idea or not?Is it bad to shampoo your hair while its dry?
No!! Using a clarifying shampoo on dry hair helps create friction on your scalp to reduce build-up and flakes. It will feel weird but it is an effective way to use a clarifying shampoo. You don't need to shampoo after either. You should do this about once every week or 2. If you don't use a lot of hair products you can do it once a month. Good luck!Is it bad to shampoo your hair while its dry?
Thats called pre-pooing. And no, its not bad for your hair. :) Report Abuse

ummm i think it might be condition your hair dry then rinse it and condition again

shampooing your hair dries it out in the first place.

and dry hair is more absorbant , so it would definately not be a good idea.

and it would dry out your scalp and probably give you a dandruff problem you never had.

as well as stinging if you have sensitive skin
Honestly I don't know, that's a really good question. I mean I know that shampooing your hair everyday is bad for your hair so. But I'm stumped on that. Where did you hear it?
Naaa that's a total waste of time. Just shampoo it once and if that isn't good enough do it twice. Doing it dry won't have any result
For the feel, no. It'll make your hair feel smooth and luscious.

For the wellbeing/health of your hair, I think it might be bad.

I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too

http://www.beautifulhamesha.com/Herbal-H鈥?/a>Is there a shampoo that makes ur hair thicker?
You can help by using really good conditioners and deep conditioning treatments, to help your hair grown longer and stay healthy. Don't do too much heat styling (blow drying, curling, etc.). For the thickness, maybe try products like Nioxin. Or before styling after your shower, use KMS's Volume/Thickening cream products. They seem to work well. The main thing about it is keeping your hair healthy and free of split ends and dryness. Use good conditioning products if you must use heat on your hair on a regular basis. Use nixon it will thicken your hair and make it grow faster. Eat and drink tons of vitamins.

What drugstore brand shampoo and conditioner do you recommend

I have been having soooo much trouble with my hair. I have tried sooo many salon products and sooo many drugstore products that just don't do it for me!

I just want a shampoo and conditioner that will moisturize WITHOUT the icky build up What drugstore brand shampoo and conditioner do you recommend
    you should try garnier

or SAMY. those are the only

two drugstore brands that i like,

i think that suave, herbal essences

    and all that stink.

    my favorite salon-quality products

are redken all soft %26amp; biosilk silk therapy.

after you're done conditioning your hair,

rinse it with cold water to leave it smooth.

for no build-up, use a deep conditioner

and a deep cleaning shampoo - most brands

make one that's called ';classic clean'; or ';basic';.

you can try anti-dandruff shampoos, too.

those are usually moisturizing but they strip

    off the icky buildup, too.

:)What drugstore brand shampoo and conditioner do you recommend
    wow.

    herbal essance deffinately.

i use it now and before i used aussie(which doesnt work)

herbal essance hello hydration line is

    allways great!

it moisturizes and it makes it way easier to brush, straighten,

    curl, or crimp!

hello hydration is known as the blue kind.

the conditioner is a little thicker than the shampoo

but it makes it work really good.

    (:

i really hope i helped you with my personal

    experience.

    OH!

    and.........

    it smells Yummy!

i used garnier frutise before and it did nothing

for me but make my hair greasyy.
    pantene pro V.

shampoo and conditioner 2 in 1.

karestace shampoo and conditioner is the best but it is very expensive

also L'oreal is good and cheap
herbal essences and sunsilk.aussie and dove makes my hair oily and so does panthene.garniar makes my hair tanged up.so does tresemme
Herbal Essences is nice. I especially like their ';Hello Hydration'; line. (The blue one.)

    garnier = )
Aussie (MOIST) Purple Bottle ooooooo and it smells yummy
    garnier fructis, hands down.
i would say dove, and lancome. It makes hair super smoothe

Does anyone know of any ';good'; not super expensive shampoo and conditioners?

I'm looking for stuff with no alcohols, lauryl or laureth sulfates, or other nasty chemicals. Thanks!Does anyone know of any ';good'; not super expensive shampoo and conditioners?
I read something about aloe shampoo once. Aloe is great for skin and retaining hair, and making it strong and shiny. Its organic stuff, forgot the website, im sure you'll find it through google.Does anyone know of any ';good'; not super expensive shampoo and conditioners?
there is always suave. i like that alot. it is not at all expensive. it is the cheapest kind. you can get it at wal mart or at any local store like cvs or rite aid.
i love the herbal essences shampoo and conditioners aswell and theres soo many that you can choose from to suit your hair type.
the new herbal essence shampoos are good. They smell heavenly and are completely natural (hence the name). The entire series of shampoo %26amp; conditioner sets are amazing and i would totally recommend it.

Is there a shampoo that darkens your hair gradually?

I have dark brown hair. Its lighter at the top and really dark at the bottom. Ive always wanted black hair but i cant dye it [parents, ughh!] so i was thinking of secretly getting shampoo that darkens it gradually. I dont want to use it so that its audimatically dark, too obvious! i just want a darker hair color! any help? :)Is there a shampoo that darkens your hair gradually?
,Yes there are products that do that they also have mousses that color the hair, go to a Sally's if there is one near also you can add color to your shampoo and it will do the same thing as the more expensive productsIs there a shampoo that darkens your hair gradually?

    Pantene Expressions does.

    sort of..

not like a dyeing, but it does.
i believe john freida has some products to do that.

Is there any shampoo that de poofs hair my hair is really poofy and I can never get it down?

If any1 has any IDeas that would be greatt with two t'sIs there any shampoo that de poofs hair my hair is really poofy and I can never get it down?
Shampoo is going to take oil out of your hair, and oil weighs it down... BUT, shampoo will also leave residue in your hair, which ALSO weighs it down. My sugestion is, look for your answer OUTSIDE of the shower. You need PRODUCT, girl! Forget about shampoo and conditioner, it's how you treat your hair AFTER the shower that is going to make all the difference in the world. I'm not sure if ';poofy'; = ';frizzy';, but none the less, my favorite products are Paul Mitchel. If you have (or want to have) straight hair, use his ';Super Skinny Serum'; and if you have curly hair, go for ';Round Trip';. This stuff is great at keeping down the frizz and helps to style your hair. It also helps to dry it faster, WHO KNEW! DEFINATELY buy these products at a salon (or Super Cuts or something) because they ARE available at places like CVS, but they do not have stringent rules about HOW LONG they can be on the shelves, so sometimes the stuff expires there. Salons won't allow that. Besides, I have ALWAYS gotten a better deal on the stuff at the salon. With both of these products, a LITTLE BIT goes a VERY LONG WAY!! DON'T over use it, or you'll get a greasy effect. I have hair half way down my back, and I use two squirts of either product.

You probably also don't want to be blowdrying, at least not before you apply some product! Is there any shampoo that de poofs hair my hair is really poofy and I can never get it down?
    i HAD theee samee problemmm.

    rlle nothinng helped.

i gavee up and started to scrunchh my hair (use hair gel to curl it)

it worked but thenn my hair becameee immunee to it...

thenn i heard aboutt Japenese Hair Straighteninng.

its a pretty long and expensive process.

    but its worth it.

i got it donee in April and my hairr is still pinn straight and NO poof!

thee pricee for it is arouunnnd 1-250$

    trust me it works.

  • Can I use shampoo that inhances curls?

I have wavy hair if it air dries and it doesn't always look good. If I used shampoo that inhanced curls would it help make my hair wavier? Can I use shampoo that inhances curls?
Yes. Try using herbal essences shampoo. Its not tested on animals, and there is a shampoo especially for curls that does inhance them. Can I use shampoo that inhances curls?
absolutley! Try Fresh Curls by Redken. I use it at my salon and it really makes a huge difference. They have shampoo, conditioner, leave in detangler, and an anti frizz shiner. I use all of them on my own hair and it leaves my curls soft and frizz free.
curly sexy hair by sexy hair concepts, the entire line is great

it's wonderful and smells great too

Is there a shampoo or somthing I can apply to my hair to at least make it a little bit straighter?

is there such thing as a shampoo that can straighten your hair?Is there a shampoo or somthing I can apply to my hair to at least make it a little bit straighter?
Yes, there are lots of straightening products you can buy. Here's a link to some reviews on one I've been wanting to try, but haven't yet.

    http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews62061鈥?/a>

Also, if you don't want to put chemicals and stuff into your hair, you can always buy a flat iron. I use a Vidal Sassoon one I bought at Target for around $25 and it works great. I have long hair, I blow dry it straight first, and the flat ironing only takes about 5 minutes. If you use it though, make sure to spray some heat protectant on your hair first, like Nexus' Heat Protexx.

If you just want to try shampoo, Matrix Sleek.Look is great. If you have really curly hair (mine is just wavy) it probably won't do much, but I notice my hair is not as wavy when I use it.

Hope this helps! Is there a shampoo or somthing I can apply to my hair to at least make it a little bit straighter?
yes plenty. just go to a hairdresser and ask them
try Paul Mitchell Super Strong....It makes my kinky/wavy hair a bit straigher, but a big plus is it is very very protecting so if you heat style your hair it protects it very well
    any conditioner
I had my hair rebond 1.5 yrs ago and started to use Senscience shampoo and conditioner since, tho its abit expensive than those off the shelves but its all worth it. After I towel dry my hair and apply Loreal leave on.

It straighten my hair and it feel soft and no tangle AND most important without feeling greasy.
yah theres a lot of hair products that claim to straighten or help straighten the hair...

Im sure you can get them all over but theres a brand called Ion at Sallys Beauty supply that you can use for straightening.. there are straightening conditioners and serums...

You can also get your hair professional chemically straightened - its kind of like a perm - it has to do with the bonds in your hair that cause curliness - the chemcial hair treatment work to activate or deactivate the bonding tendencies based on what results you want. This is also kind of expensive by comparison and it grows out as new hair comes in...

I suggest investing in a Chi Iron if you can afford the price and the time

Whats the best shampoo to stop greasy hair?

I take a shower every day but at the end of the day it always ends up greasy?!?Whats the best shampoo to stop greasy hair?
I'm not sure what shampoos help, but I have the same problem and I've figured out that a lot of it has to do with the weather (which we obviously can't do anything about) and the way you wash and style your hair.

You should shampoo the roots only, the rest will rinse through your hair. Then when you use your conditioner, make sure you ONLY put it on the ends. If you get too close to your scalp, it will make it look much greasier. If you use creams, gels, or wax to style it with, that can make it look greasy too. Try using a very small amount, and starting at the back ends of your hair.

Hope I helped!Whats the best shampoo to stop greasy hair?
Try Suave's Lavender shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo deep cleans, and the conditioner is light enough to where it won't weigh down your hair, even at the roots.

Oh, and don't throw away the shampoos and conditioners that you don't like! I was thinking that you might want to check out Clean The World ( http://www.cleantheworld.org ) and perhaps send your used shampoos and conditioners to them via Central Care Mission. I'm a big fan of good hair products, but any that don't suit my fancy, or the tail ends of the shampoos and conditioners, get sent to them to help prevent disease and death in Third World countries.

How do i stop my hair from further THINNING? Shampoo?

Im only 20, my hair isnt really thin...but i see it getting thinner. So i wanna try to either slow down or stop the process. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.How do i stop my hair from further THINNING? Shampoo?
A lot of this depends on what is causing your hair loss...

I am female and have lost all of my hair twice and patches of it numerous times. I had/have (in remission) Alopecia Areata which literally translates to ';hair loss in areas.'; After my second ';round'; of loss, I figured that it was triggered by stress (for others (males %26amp; females) it was anything from food allergies to pregnancy to who knows). Now this may not be applicable to you but some of the following might help:

I went to a dermatologist and was given cortisone kenalog injections/shots in the areas where I had lost hair. While it didn't prevent loss, it did speed up the re-growth process (3 to 4 months).

I noticed my hair loss was less in the summer and my dermatologist explained that this was due to UV rays promoting hair growth and health. I would go tanning every so often (with sunscreen to protect my skin) and this did help. Although very expensive, you can buy your own lamp so it only gets your scalp.

I read that Beta Carotene supplements promoted hair (%26amp; nail) growth. I took those and it seemed to help too.

I also used Rogaine which irritated my skin - so I couldn't tell you honestly if it worked. There were a lot of other products like Propecia, I couldn't try because they were made for males and could possibly lead to future problems with reproduction.

The bottom line is START your treatment NOW. I would go see a dermatologist and a general practitioner. Good luck. I know it's not fun.How do i stop my hair from further THINNING? Shampoo?
First of all, popular to common belief shampoo is actually irritating to skin and hair and may be the reason your hair is thinning other than genetics.

Wash your hair with baking soda and conditioner instead. I think its 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a glass of warm water and use that as a shampoo. Then use conditioner.
start rogaine now and it will stop the thinning and possibly grow more hair.
DONT use conditioner this happened to my sister and now it works for her

The Furminator deshedding shampoo says it is enriched with omega 3 and 6 fatty acids but does it smell bad?

Im thinking about giving my black lab a furminator bath and the shampoo says enriched with omega 3 and 6 fatty acids but it says clean and fresh scent but im worried that if i get some on my clothes it will make them smell like omega acid or is it just a small amountThe Furminator deshedding shampoo says it is enriched with omega 3 and 6 fatty acids but does it smell bad?
Omega 3 isn't an acid like battery acid. It is a fatty acid like found in fish oil - greasy %26amp; the amount that is in that shampoo is tiny at best. Besides it is just shampoo %26amp; will wash right out of your clothes. Don't expect extra de-shedding either.

  • Good shampoo for swimmer OR a good 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner?

I have swimming class every week, for about 1 hour. I only have 15 minutes to shower to get back to school, do i need to use a special shampoo, or is it okay to wash with a 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner to save time, then when I go home, rinse my hair with just water and put regular conditioner on my hair for 10 minutes and rinse?

What is the best brand, in your opinion of these two types of shampoos?Good shampoo for swimmer OR a good 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner?
You have a few alternatives. Personally, I use Herbal Essences ';Hello Hydration'; 2-in-1. It's a blue bottle with a lime green cap. I swim basically every day, and that keeps my hair pretty soft. If I have time, two washes makes it impossible for me to tell I was in a pool. Another option is a shampoo specifically designed to remove chlorine, such as Ultra-Swim. They work very well, but they tend to be pricey. When I was younger, I used L'Oreal shampoo meant to remove chlorine, but I haven't been able to find it. Your final option is to just wash your hair and when you have time use a baking soda and water mixture to wash your hair. Let it in your hair for about 10 minutes before rinsing it out. I found that this was the most effective way for me to deal with chlorine. The only downside is that it can get a little messy. This option probably isn't as viable for you since you're only swimming once a week, and it's hardly worth going through the hassle. The first option is probably the best one for you.Good shampoo for swimmer OR a good 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner?
I dont think you need to use a special shampoo. As long as you use some special shampoo at night, to get the chlorine totally out.

I am a swimmer but i have practice at night so i just go home and take a shower, but it is best to get most of the chlorine out right away.

I use Aveda a few times a month, which just helps finalize i think, Otherwise, i use pantene or bath %26amp; body works shampoo and conditioner. Don't get too specific, it'll just get too compicated.

2 in 1 is perfectly fine

    I hope this helps
    Depending upon where you live....

Go to a beauty Supply store.I suggest Sally Beauty Supply. There is a product called 'Generic Clarifying Shampoo. It compares to Nexxus Aloe Rid which is not sold anymore except in the generic form.It is amazing about taking the chlorine buildup off your hair. It is in a white bottle with black lettering.

Any good clarifying shampoo should work. Read the back labels and see if it takes out chemicals and impurities in the hair.

I know they also make swimmers shampoo and Swimmers conditioner.A beauty supply store is a place to find it. The specific swimmer products may not come out until early summer, but definitely pick up a clarifying shampoo.
if you are swimming only once a week it probably doesn' t matter as much, but AquaSwim is a great shampoo for removing and neutralizing chlorine so your hair doesn't turn into green straw. They make a conditioner too but I find that the shampoo is the most important part, and then you can use any off the shelf conditioner. I don't think there is a 2 in 1 aquaswim so if you are pressed for time just shampoo.
TriSwim. It's made for swimmers and removes chlorine and prevents damage. It also gets rid of the smell of chlorine.

Can a placenta shampoo help to grow my hair?

eww where does this placenta come from? just take some vitamin e that will make your hair grow...Can a placenta shampoo help to grow my hair?
no. placenta has protein in it, which is supposed to strengthen your existing hair. it will not make your hair grow, though. Can a placenta shampoo help to grow my hair?
placenta has a lot of protein in it which will help to strengthen your hair. it does not technically make the hair grow, but it can strengthen the hair so it does not break off as much and allow it to grow longer.
Try apple cider vinegar mixed with water. About 2 tbls. morning and night. Look up on the websites for this miracle. It will grow your hair really fast. Has over 93 minerals and vitamins for your hair I have thrown my old multivitamins away and just use ACV. Makes nails grow too! My nails are really long and hard.
    How...disgusting.

    It's just not right in any form or fashion. Placenta for hair shampoo. It's only for fetuses not to make your hair ';pretty.';

Why would anyone think of such a gross thing?
I use leave in placenta conditioner and it makes my hair stronger and gives it a very glossy shine. What will help your hair to grow is taking Vitamin E pills.
i THiNK iT DOES!!i 'VE HEARD PEOPLE SAYiNG iTS GOOD %26amp;%26amp; RECOMENDiNG iT

    ';eww where does this placenta come from?';

    Aborted fetuses.

    The shampoo is very expensive.
No! Your hair is not technically living after it is past the scalp nothing you put ON your hair will make it grow faster, slower, etc. It may make it feel better. I recommend vitamin E or -a good one a day vitamin for skin hair and nails is prenatal vitamins for any child bearing aged woman.
idk but the name just makes me laugh altho ive seen it at the 99 cent store beforee.

How is shampoo tested on animals?

ok so its just shampoo does it just go on the animals fur or do they out in them because its just shampoo do they use it like we do or what because i use panteene but i know it is on animals but does it kill them?

Its just shampoo so...How is shampoo tested on animals?
yea it can kill them and it makes them suffer they put it in there eyes to see what would happen if it got in our eyes and on fur withch some has chemicals that will hurt !!! use carrot to go its all made from food like melon, carrots and other stuffHow is shampoo tested on animals?
Look up 'Draize test'. They put the shampoo, or chemicals contained in it, in the animal's eyes for long periods of time to see what it does and make sure it is safe if it gets in human eyes. They leave the shampoo or chemicals against the animal's skin for long periods of time to see what it might do to human skin. The animals are effectively tortured with chemicals in their eyes and on their skin for days, even weeks, on end. The animals slowly go blind and have horrendous chemical burns. The animals are conscious and restrained.

They don't wash their fur with it, duh!
Use Paul Mitchell, it's a little more pricey, but never tested on animals. I believe the Body Shop also doesn't test on animals, and of course there are others I can't think of. Don't support animal abuse, it's so unnecessary!

Not only am I a hairdresser, but I'm also an active member of PETA: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. I study things like this and do what I can to get lawmakers to STOP animal abuse!

Cosmetics (including shampoos) are tested by putting the product directly into the animals eyes and leaving it for periods of time, putting it on their skin for extended periods of time, and (this is not for the weak of heart) they will remove the skin from LIVE ANIMALS without anesthesia, apply the product, and see how it effects the animal and it's skin. It is freakin revolting. When you buy a product that is tested on animals, this is what you are supporting. I wish I was just making this up, fer real. It's horrible.

    Read the labels! :))))

And thank you for showing that this IS an important issue to you, that you care enough to even ask.
im imagining that they will put it in their eyes, bare skin, cuts or wounds, make them swallow it things like this etc. to see what would happen if a human was to do these things.

i think its sick and cruel, inhumane and quite frankly disturbing to hear that us humans would actually do these things to the earths animals for our own benefit.
well pantene uses a lot chemicals in their products that are harmful to you: so they'd definitely be harmful to animals =\

    Warm water

Mix ingredients in pail. Wash car on lawn instead of the drive to reduce runoff to the street or storm sewer.

    Car wax

    1 cup linseed oil

4 tbsp. carnauba wax (available at auto supply stores)

    2 tbsp. beeswax

    1/2 cup vinegar

Put ingredients in top half of a double-boiler or saucepan. Heat slowly until wax has melted. Stir and pour into a heat resistant container. After wax has solidified, rub it on the car with a lint-free cloth. Saturate a corner of a cotton rag with vinegar and polish the wax to a deep shine.

    Vinyl Cleaner

    1/4 cup washing soda

1 cup boiling water (sodium carbonate)

Dissolve washing soda in boiling water. Apply with sponge and wipe off with a damp cloth.

Homemade carpet shampoo? Anyone ever make their own? How well did it work, what was the recipe?

And did it leave an odor?Homemade carpet shampoo? Anyone ever make their own? How well did it work, what was the recipe?
I agree AMO 45 ! Laundry soap will work in a pinch. Gee, if you don't like Tide, use Gain, or Shout. I would recommend using liquid soaps. and I would probably only use no more than 1/4 cup as laundry soap will suds up. Dawn would not be good to use in a steam cleaner.

Some people will use 1 cup of a low sudsing ammonia and 2 cups of white vinegar and top off with water. If you have animals you may wish to exclude the ammonia and just use vinegar. And yes, the vinegar smell does not linger and will leave your carpets smelling fresh.

Personally, unless you have a particular alergy to some chemical in the carpet shampoo, I would just use whatever the steam cleaner recommends. For additional freshness, add vinegar.

Always test carpets for colorfastness, no matter what you use...Homemade carpet shampoo? Anyone ever make their own? How well did it work, what was the recipe?
I agree...I certainly wouldn't use laundry soap since the enzymes that whiten, brighten, etc could cause the carpet to discolor.

For myself, I use a bit of Dawn dishwashing soap mixed up with some water, and hand scrub the carpet with a stiff bristled brush. Once the carpet is clean, I rinse and extra the water using my home rug shampooer.
I also used laundry detergent once when i ran out of carpet shampoo with 1/2 a room left to go.it worked so well its all i use now! mixed 1/4 cup to a tank of water. it also left them with a wonderful fresh scent -much nicer than carpet shampoo scent.
I have never heard of a worse idea, they have chemicals in there also not just soap, I can not believe someone said Tide and water, DO NOT DO THAT it will never come out.
Take TIDE and mix with water. It cleans clothes, %26amp; it will also clean carpet.

Is it okay if i shower but dont shampoo my hair?

ive been doing it for like 2weeks. its greasy and smelly but would it affect anything in the future or than me having a bad social life?Is it okay if i shower but dont shampoo my hair?
No it is not. YOur hair can contain certian diseases. Like lice. And yes it would effect your social life because if people get a snife of your hair thay will want to avoid you. Please if it is smelly noone would want to be around you. So shampoo your hair

best answer?:)Is it okay if i shower but dont shampoo my hair?
well it is okay only if you eventualy wash it. if you go a week without washing it then thats pretty gross. if its greasy and smelly you should deff wash it. it will affect your social life and you probably wont get jobs very easily because first impressions are important. so i recomend not washing your hair for a couple days becuase you dont want it to be dry but you also dont want it to be smelly and gross
its gross, and if it's greasy and smelly if you continue to do that then i have a feeling it will take forever to get the grease out of it... and everyone's going to stay away from you because no one likes to be around someone who smells... and um thats really gross... why would you do that?
I did that in 5th grade for about a week and a half and i had really long straight hair. It was horrible.

Please take a shower. With shampoo.
if it's greasy and smelly you should obviously wash it. this is a joke and you are a bit deranged.
GREASY AND SMELLY EW you NEED to wash ur hair that is disgusting and u will NOT have any friends and probably develop lice wash ur hair
You probably don't wash your pubes either, do you, pig ?
Its okay to not put shampoo in it a couple of times but for 2 weeks EWWW

Have you tried Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special shampoo and conditioner?

If so, how is it? Is it better than the Super Skinny collection?Have you tried Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special shampoo and conditioner?
i love the tea tree. it promotes growth as well as invigorates the scalp. its great for really hot days and you use it, it feels like you have an ac on your head. the conditioner is really good for sunburns too. it cools the skin and soaks in, unlike noxema. noxema dries on your skin and at some point you must shower and wipe it off which is more miserable. this stuff dries and soaks in and still cools the skin off. i can think of a million things to use this for. its awesome.Have you tried Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special shampoo and conditioner?
It really is awesome...the shampoo is great and the aroma therapy thing that it does is the craziest. Worth every penny.
It's nice stuff - just not good for color treated hair.
We love it. It is like a wake up call - ';slam a cup of coffee'; in the shower!

Does every shampoo & conditioner that repairs your hair make it feel nasty?

I bought the redken extreme hair repair shampoo %26amp; conditioner and it made my hair feel nasty and it seems like everytime I buy a repair shampoo it feels like that .Is it suppose to do that?Does every shampoo %26amp; conditioner that repairs your hair make it feel nasty?
Fructise works pretty good and so does the new herbal essence line. Also maybe you are using a little too much and it's leaving a buildup. There's shampoo that gets rid of the buildup (drawing a blank on the name right now sorry!) Maybe you should try that first and then a repairing one.Does every shampoo %26amp; conditioner that repairs your hair make it feel nasty?
some REALLY intense shampoos and conditioners can do that because they're almost OVER moisturizing, so instead i would try using hot oil treatment once a month is more than enough that will make your hair feel kinda gross for a small amount of time but then that way you can use regular shampoo and conditioner and just keep using the hot oil treatment it will repair your hair and you wont have to deal with the intense shampoos and conditioners

    good luck
not putting ne shampoos or comditionors down but you can try this medicated shampoo you can get it at a drugstore i believe its for wring worms but it makes your hair look more natural and it makes you scalp moisturized and clean of sores and damaged skelp

i think the name of it is ketokanazole or it may be a diff spelling but here is how it shuld b ppronounced ket o conazel shampoo
You really don't have to by the expense shampoo or conditioner. if you hair is like over proceeded you need a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner make sure you rinse well also rinse the conditioner with cool water so that if will stay within the hair it will make your hair also stronger.
Try Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Nexxus Keraphix Reconstructive Conditioner. They both smell great and leave your hair in fantastic condition. They are pretty affordable, about $25 for both in my area.
I use K-Pac or Bumble 7 Bumble...Costs way more but worth it
No their are not supposed to make your hair feel nasty your hair is supposed to feel good after using a good brand like that. I would recommend Biolage i love that Shampoo and conditioner it works really well and it does not leave your hair feeling nasty.
